Clearfield’s junior quarterback, who has won the last two RRR Roadhouse D9Sports.com District 9 Player of the Week awards, made a great statement for a third straight award by accounting for all seven touchdowns in the Bisons 49-26 waxing of Mountain Athletic Conference rival Huntingdon Friday night in Clearfield. Campman threw for 255 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 19 times for 76 yards and three more scores. He added an interception return for a touchdown on defense and accounted for 331 of Clearfield’s 367 yards on the night (90.2 percent). He finished the night 19 of 27 passing and did throw two interceptions. Joey Riley had a fine night for Huntingdon (2-7 overall, 1-5 MAC) running 16 times for 110 yards and two touchdowns and catching three passes for 83 yards and a score. Clearfield (6-3, 4-2) broke open a 7-all game at the end of the first quarter by outscoring Huntingdon 35-6 in a wild second quarter to take a 42-13 halftime lead. Jarrin Campman gave the Bisons the lead for good on a 4-yard touchdown run six seconds into the quarter before Riley’s 49-yard scamper 1:13 late cut the Bison lead to 14-13. But Jarrin Campman hit Trey Campman with a 30-yard touchdown pass then found David Ryan with an 11-yard scoring toss to make it 28-13 midway through the quarter. Jarrin Campman then scored twice in a span of 15 seconds late in the half to put the game away. First, he scored on a 1-yard run with 1:37 left before the half, and then intercepted Huntingdon’s next pass and took it 27 yards to the house with 1:22 to play before the break. After Riley scored on a 64-yard run in the third quarter, Jarrin Campman finished off the scoring for Clearfield with a 16-yard run midway through the quarter. Drew Hipps caught seven passes for 152 yards and a touchdown for Clearfield, while Trey Campman had nine grabs for 82 yards and the touchdown. Nathan Betts was 5-for-15 passing for 137 yards and a touchdown while running twice for 21 yards and a score for Huntingdon. Clearfield can clinch a home playoff game in the District 9 Class AAA playoffs with a win at Penns Valley Friday night or a St. Marys loss to ECC Friday. See
