SHIPPENVILLE – Curwensville senior quarterback David Kalgren is the RRR Roadhouse D9Sports.com District 9 Football Player of the Week for Week Two of the 2008 season.

Kalgren had a near-perfect game in the Golden Tide’s 48-12 win over Otto-Eldred. He was 10 of 11 passing for 163 yards and four touchdowns while adding three carries for 20 yards. On the defensive-side of the ball, he returned an interception 37 yards for a touchdown while helping Curwensville to its second win of the season.

It is the fifth time since the award started in 2000 that Curwensville has had a Player of the Week.

In addition to Kalgren, 15 District 9 players appear on the RRR Roadhouse D9Sports.com District 9 Honor Roll this week.
