SHIPPENVILLE – For the second week in a row, Curwensville’s David Kalgren is the RRR Roadhouse D9Sports.com District 9 Football Player of the Week.

Kalgren earns the award in Week Three of the 2008 season after leading the Golden Tide (3-0) to a 28-21 come-from-behind victory at Coudersport Friday night.

The senior accounted for three of Curwensville's four touchdowns while going 8 of 14 passing for 150 yards and three scores and running seven times for 63 yards. He also preserved the lead when he made a game-saving interception at the 10-yard line with 2:06 to play and Coudersport driving.

It is the sixth time since the award started in 2000 that Curwensville has had a Player of the Week.

In addition to Kalgren, 15 District 9 players appear on the RRR Roadhouse D9Sports.com District 9 Honor Roll this week.
