SHIPPENVILLE – Brockway running back Ben Kuhar is the RRR Roadhouse D9Sports.com District 9 Football Player of the Week for Week Seven of the 2008 season.

Kuhar had a monster game in the Rovers 34-28 win over Johnsonburg that kept Brockway’s District 9 Class AA playoff hopes alive. He amassed 330 yards of total offense and three touchdowns. Kuhar, a senior, rushed 32 times for 142 yards and two scores and caught five passes for 188 yards and one touchdown.

It is the second time this season a Brockway player has been named Player of the Week. Sophomore quarterback Derek Buganza, who is on this week’s Honor Roll after throwing for 361 yards and three touchdowns in the win, was the Player of the Week in Week One. It is also the fifth time since the award started in 2000 a Brockway player has won the award.

In addition to Kuhar, 15 District 9 players, including Buganza, appear on the RRR Roadhouse D9Sports.com District 9 Honor Roll this week.
