DRIVING DIRECTIONS TO NOV. 21 PLAYOFF FOOTBALL GAMES INVOLVING DISTRICT 9 TEAMS

Directions are meant as a guide only. Please consult a map for accurate directions or call the appropriate high school.

CLARION VS. CAMERON COUNTY (Return to top of page)

LOCATION: Frank Varischetti Stadium in Brockway 

DATE/TIME: Friday, Nov. 21, 7 p.m. (Moved to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22)

DIRECTIONS FROM: Clarion

1. Take Interstate 80 West to Exit 81 Hazen

2. At the end of the exit ramp make a left onto Route 28 North

3. Take Route 28 North into Brockway

4. Once in Brockway, cross the railroad tracks and cross the bridge. Take the second left after the pizza shop (first left is one-way toward Route 28). 

5. Frank Varischetti Field is straight ahead on the left. Parking is available near the stadium 

DIRECTIONS FROM: Emporium  

1. Take 120 West into St. Marys to Route 219 

2. Take Route 219 South to Brockway to Route 28 South

3. Take Route 28 South and look for the stadium lights. Turn right before the pizza shop. Parking is available near the stadium. 

KARNS CITY VS. NORTH STAR (Return to top of page)

LOCATION: Clarion University of Pennsylvania's Memorial Stadium

DATE/TIME: Friday, Nov. 21, 7 p.m. (Moved to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22)

DIRECTIONS FROM: Karns City High School

1. Take Route 268 to Route 68 North 

2. Take Route 68 North through East Brady, Rimersburg and Sligo (at the blinker light in Sligo, make a right to continue on Route 68 North).

3. Route 68 North eventually crosses over Interstate 80 and the Clarion Wal-Mart will be on your left once you cross I-80

4. Go straight at the light at Wal-Mart and continue straight at the light at the Clarion Mall. Route 68 North becomes South Fifth Ave. past the mall.

5. Continue down the hill and the back up on South Fifth Ave. At the next stop light continue straight until you reach Main Street/Route 322 in downtown Clarion.

6. At the stop light on Main Street, make a left (left-hand turning lane is available) and follow Main Street to the edge of town. Memorial Stadium is directly in front of you. The road bends 90 degree to the right. You will pass the stadium and immediately past the stadium is a right-hand turn for stadium parking. Handicap parking is available at the upper portion of the stadium proper (You would basically go straight instead of following Main Street to the right driving into the gates at the stadium). 

DIRECTIONS FROM: North Star High School (Boswell, PA)

1. Take Route 219 North to Route 422

2. Take Route 422 West through Indiana to Kittanning 

3. Follow the signs for New Bethlehem and Route 28 North

4. Take Route 28 North to New Bethlehem

5. In New Bethlehem, make a left at the second light onto Route 66 North (Follow the signs for Clarion)

6. Take Route 66 North across Interstate 80 (Don't get on Interstate 80). Continue straight this is now the Greenville Pike Extension

7. Pass Clarion University on your left approx. 3 miles north of I-80. Go straight at the red light at Wendy's and make a left at the second red light onto Main Street/US 322 West.

8. Follow Main Street to the edge of town. Memorial Stadium is directly in front of you. The road bends 90 degree to the right. You will pass the stadium and immediately past the stadium is a right-hand turn for stadium parking. Handicap parking is available at the upper portion of the stadium proper (You would basically go straight instead of following Main Street to the right driving into the gates at the stadium). 

CLEARFIELD VS. ERIE STRONG VINCENT (Return to top of page)

LOCATION: DuBois' E.J. Mansell Stadium

DATE/TIME: Friday, Nov. 21, 7 p.m. (Moved to 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22)

DIRECTIONS FROM: Clearfield

1. Take Interstate 80 West to Exit 101 (DuBois)

2. Merge onto US 255 South 

3. Turn left onto Liberty Blvd.

4. The stadium is on your left just past the DuBois Middle School. Parking is available at the stadium. 

DIRECTIONS FROM: Erie

1. Take Interstate 79 South to Exit 116A (Junction with Interstate 80)

2. Take Interstate 80 East to Exit 97 (DuBois)

3. Merge onto US 219 South

4. Follow US 219 South to Liberty Ave. Make a right at the light onto Liberty Ave.

5. The stadium is on your left just past the DuBois Middle School. Parking is available at the stadium.
