SHIPPENVILLE – Kane’s Marty Niklas is the seventh RRR Roadhouse D9Sports.com District 9 Football Player of the Week for the 2009 season after leading the defensive effort in a 7-0 Wolves shutout win over Ridgway Friday night.

Niklas, a defensive end, came up with 10 tackles and four sacks and helped lead a defensive effort that pitched Kane’s third shutout of the season. The Wolves own the top scoring defense in District 9 having allowed just 49 points (7 ppg) this season while going 5-2.

Joining Niklas in being honored this week are 15 players on the RRR Roadhouse D9Sports.com Honor Roll.
