while also scoring on a 10-yard touchdown run. Two of
the touchdown passes went to Charlie Buchanan who had
two grabs for 100 yards. Tyce Miller and Camrin Stuckey
also caught touchdown passes from Bodamer, while Seth
Lowery added an 11-yard scoring run and Garrett Drabert
a 12-yard scoring run. Port’s defense added a safety and
limited Sheffield to 11 total yards rushing while
picking off four passes including one by Bodamer and two
by Buchanan.
Hunter Smith scored on a 2-yard
touchdown run in the second quarter for Sheffield
LEWISTOWN – Curtis Frye’s 1-yard
touchdown run with 1:38 to play kept Clearfield unbeaten
at 7-0 with a 13-7 win at Lewistown Friday night.
Clearfield led 7-0 at halftime
thanks to a 3-yard Frye run in the second quarter.
Lewistown tied the game in the
third quarter on a 6-yard touchdown pass from Dan
Wheeler to Cole Welham early in the third quarter.

while going 5 of 12 passing for 71 yards. Derek Morgan

PUNXSUTAWNEY — Surviving a challenge from visiting Moniteau, the Punxsutawney Chucks kept their perfect record intact and ran their regular-season winning streak to 15 games with a 20-12 win over the Warriors. The Chucks (7-0 overall, 3-0 KSAC-Large School) didn’t take the lead for good until Logan Weaver found Zac Dickey in the end zone for a 10-yard touchdown pass on fourth down five seconds into the fourth quarter. With Moniteau (3-4, 0-4) driving for a possible game-tying score, Devon Luzell stripped Warriors running back Dustin Geagan of the ball and the fumble was recovered by Ben Blazavich deep in Chucks territory. A few plays later, Weaver and Jason Fallara hooked up on a 72-yard touchdown pass to put the game out of reach at 20-6 with near three minutes left in the game. Moniteau scored a late touchdown, but was unable to recover the ensuing onside kick. Fallara scored on a 3-yard run in the first half for the Chucks while Geagan ran 79 yards for a touchdown for the Warriors. Fallara gained 121 yards on 29 carries to lead the Chucks while Weaver completed 6 of 14 passes for 131 yards, including a perfect 4-of-4 for 106 yards in the second half. Moniteau quarterback Kyle Armagost

passes for 67 yards. KANE — Kane quarterback Alex Anderson’s 1-yard touchdown run in overtime gave the Kane Wolves a hard-fought 6-0 win over visiting Johnsonburg Friday night. The Kane defense held the Rams scoreless in the first possession of overtime as Jon Carnovale missed a short field goal, setting up the Wolves’ game-winner that improved their record to 3-4. Johnsonburg dropped to 4-3. The Wolves had a chance to score in regulation late in the game, but fumbled away the ball at the Johnsonburg 12 with 33 seconds on the clock. RIMERSBURG – Taylor Smith’s 22-yard
touchdown run with 1:24 to play lifted Union to a 24-20
win over Keystone Friday night giving the Golden Knights
their first win over the Panthers in 16 years. Smith scored three touchdowns three
different ways to help Union (2-5 overall, 2-2 KSAC
Small School Division) get a win over a District 9 team
not named A-C Valley or Clarion-Limestone for the first
time since Sept. 3, 1999, when the Golden Knights beat
Moniteau 34-22. He scored on an 83-yard kickoff
return in the first quarter after Keystone had taken a
14-6 lead to cut the Panthers lead to 14-12. He then
returned a fumble 55 yards for a touchdown midway
through the third quarter to give Union its first lead
of the night at 18-14 before completing a 45-yard
game-winning drive that started when Austin Davis
recovered a Keystone fumble. But even after Smith’s touchdown
run, Union didn’t secure the win until Trent Corle
intercepted a Mitch Rearick pass at the 2-yard line with
under 20 seconds to play. Rearick had a pair of touchdown
runs for Keystone, and James Gillen added a 1-yard
scoring run for the Panthers (2-5, 2-2). Rearick ran 11
times for 89 yards and was 7 of 12 passing for 76 yards.
Gillen ran 17 times for 87 yards. Davis chipped in with a 20-yard
touchdown for Union and had 59 yards rushing with Smith
running 16 times for 99 yards and catching three passes
for seven yards. Union last beat Keystone in 1994
34-15. CURWENSVILLE — The Curwensville
Golden Tide bounced back from their first loss of the
year last week at Brockway with an easy 61-14 win over
Ridgway Friday night. The Golden Tide (6-1) scored the
game’s first seven touchdowns and led 46-0 before the
Elkers (0-7) got on the board in the fourth quarter
during the PIAA’s Mercy Rule running block. Curwensville running back Alex
Holland ran for 210 yards on 17 carries and scored four
touchdowns, three of them on runs of 19, 76 and 17
yards. He also returned an interception 44 yards in the
second quarter. Shane Hoover scored two touchdowns,

78-yard kick return and Johns’ on a 3-yard run. Alex Dickant and Logan Wickett

overall and 3-1 in the Keystone Shortway Athletic
Conference’s Small School Division while C-L fell to 1-6
and 1-3. COUDERSPORT – Ryan Wells ran 24
times for 274 yards and five touchdowns to lead
Smethport to its first win over rival Coudersport since
2001 with a 40-16 win at Coudy Friday night. Wells scored on runs of 10, 66, 3,
1 and 10 yards and added three 2-point conversion runs
while also sacking the Coudersport quarterback in the
end zone for a safety. The score was tied at 16 at the end
of the first quarter thanks to a pair of Jason Gibson to
Kory Majot touchdown passes for before Smethport rolled
off 24 unanswered points. Coudersport (3-4 overall, 3-4 AML
North) had won nine straight in the series dating back
to 2002 – eight regular-season games and one playoff
game – the longest winning streak in series history for
the Falcons. Smethport (2-5, 2-5), which won 14

Dragons in convincing fashion 28-0. Pat Pascarella had another big
night for the Owls (5-2) rushing for 205 yards and two
touchdowns on 23 carries. Pascarella’s touchdown run midway
through the third quarter gave the Owls a 21-0 lead that
proved to be more than enough. Bradford’s defense
limited Warren to less than 200 yards of total offense. Quarterback Cody Coats, back from
an injury, also scored twice on the ground for Bradford
staking the Owls to a 7-0 lead on a 43-yard run and then
adding a 1-yard run for the final points. Pascarella
scored twice in between including on a 31-yard run that
made it 14-0 at halftime.
