SHIPPENVILLE – Curwensville’s Alex Holland is the RRR Roadhouse D9Sports.com Player of the Week for Week Seven of the 2011 season.

Holland ran for 386 yards and four touchdowns on 47 carries and became just the second runner in District 9 history to eclipse 5,000 career yards in Curwensville 36-16 win over Ridgway Friday night. The senior, who earns the award for the second time this season, has 5,145 career yards second beyond only former Curwensville great Nick Sipes’ 5,963 yards.

Joining Holland in being honored are 15 additional players who are on the RRR Roadhouse D9Sports.com Honor Roll after outstanding games over the weekend and one coach, Clearfield’s Tim Janocko, who gets a Special Mention for winning his 200th game, just the second coach in District 9 history with 200 wins.

The RRR Roadhouse Player of the Week and the Honor Roll are chosen by D9Sports.com’s selection committee composing of the D9Sports.com editors and other media members.
