DRIVING DIRECTIONS TO NOV. 11-12, 2011 DISTRICT 9 PLAYOFF FOOTBALL GAMES

Directions are meant as a guide only. Please consult a map for accurate directions or call the appropriate high school.

CLASS AA SEMIFINALS - SHEFFIELD VS. MONITEAU

LOCATION: Clarion University's Memorial Stadium

DATE/TIME: Saturday, Nov. 12, 1 p.m.

DIRECTIONS FROM: Sheffield

1. Take PA 666 toward Marienville

2. At the intersection of PA 666 and PA 66 make right

3. Take PA 66 to the stop light at the Country Fair at the intersection of US 322

4. Make a left onto US 322

5. Follow US 322 down Riverhill and back up the other side. At the top of the hill, the stadium is on the right. Parking is before the stadium on the right just past Luton's Plumbing and Heating, which is on the left. Handicap parking is located above the regular parking lot.

DIRECTIONS FROM: West Sunbury (Moniteau High School)

1. Take Route 308 North to Interstate 80

2. Take Interstate 80 East to Exit 62 (Clarion)

3. At the end "Y" at the on the exit ramp, take the left "Y" to the red light

4. Make a left onto Route 68 North

5. Continue on Route 68 North which becomes South Fifth Ave. past the Clarion Mall. 

6. Continue down the hill and the back up on South Fifth Ave. At the next stop light continue straight until you reach Main Street/Route 322 in downtown Clarion.

7. At the stop light on Main Street, make a left (left-hand turning lane is available) and follow Main Street to the edge of town. Memorial Stadium is directly in front of you. The road bends 90 degree to the right. You will pass the stadium and immediately past the stadium is a right-hand turn for stadium parking. Handicap parking is available at the upper portion of the stadium proper (You would basically go straight instead of following Main Street to the right driving into the gates at the stadium). 

CLASS AA SEMIFINALS - BROOKVILLE VS. KARNS CITY

LOCATION: Clarion University's Memorial Stadium

DATE/TIME: Saturday, , Nov. 12, 5 p.m.

DIRECTIONS FROM: Brookville

1. Take Interstate 80 West to Exit 62

2. At the end of the exit ramp make a right onto Route 68 West toward Clarion (Wal-Mart will be to the front on the left)

3. Route 68 West becomes South 5th Ave. Follow to Main St./US-322.

4. At the stop light on Main Street, make a left (left-hand turning lane is available) and follow Main Street to the edge of town. Memorial Stadium is directly in front of you. The road bends 90 degree to the right. You will pass the stadium and immediately past the stadium is a right-hand turn for stadium parking. Handicap parking is available at the upper portion of the stadium proper (You would basically go straight instead of following Main Street to the right driving into the gates at the stadium). 

DIRECTIONS FROM: Karns City High School

1. Take Route 268 to Route 68 North 

2. Take Route 68 North through East Brady, Rimersburg and Sligo (at the blinker light in Sligo, make a right to continue on Route 68 North).

3. Route 68 North eventually crosses over Interstate 80 and the Clarion Wal-Mart will be on your left once you cross I-80

4. Go straight at the light at Wal-Mart and continue straight at the light at the Clarion Mall. Route 68 North becomes South Fifth Ave. past the mall.

5. Continue down the hill and the back up on South Fifth Ave. At the next stop light continue straight until you reach Main Street/Route 322 in downtown Clarion.

6. At the stop light on Main Street, make a left (left-hand turning lane is available) and follow Main Street to the edge of town. Memorial Stadium is directly in front of you. The road bends 90 degree to the right. You will pass the stadium and immediately past the stadium is a right-hand turn for stadium parking. CLASS A QUARTERFINALS - ELK COUNTY CATHOLIC AT CLARION

LOCATION: Clarion University's Memorial Stadium

DATE/TIME: Friday, Nov. 11, 7 p.m.

DIRECTIONS FROM: St. Marys

1. Take Route 255 South to Interstate 80

2. Take Interstate 80 West to Exit 62

3. At the end of the exit ramp make a right onto Route 68 West toward Clarion (Wal-Mart will be to the front on the left)

4. Route 68 West becomes South 5th Ave. Follow to Main St./US-322.

5. At the stop light on Main Street, make a left (left-hand turning lane is available) and follow Main Street to the edge of town. Memorial Stadium is directly in front of you. The road bends 90 degree to the right. You will pass the stadium and immediately past the stadium is a right-hand turn for stadium parking. Handicap parking is available at the upper portion of the stadium proper (You would basically go straight instead of following Main Street to the right driving into the gates at the stadium). 

CLASS A QUARTERFINALS UNION AT PORT ALLEGANY

LOCATION: Port Allegany High School

DATE/TIME: Saturday,  Nov. 12, 1:30 p.m.

DIRECTIONS FROM: Rimersburg

1. Take Route 68 North to Interstate 80

2. Take Interstate 80 West to Exit 60

3. Take Exit 60 to PA 66 North

4. Take PA 66 North to Kane

5. In Kane follow signs to US 6 East

6. Take US 6 East to Port Allegany

7. Stay on US 6 East at the stop light in Port Allegany by making a right

8. Make a left onto Mill Street. The high school field will be on the left about a 1/2 a mile. Parking is on the left or also at the high school on the left, which is before the football field

CLASS A QUARTERFINALS - BROCKWAY VS. REDBANK VALLEY

LOCATION: Redbank Valley High School

DATE/TIME: Friday, Nov. 11, 7 p.m.

DIRECTIONS FROM: Brockway

1. Take Route 28 South to Brookville

2. At the stop light near the Sheetz make a left to continue on Route 28 South

3. Follow Route 28 South to New Bethlehem

4. Prior to entering town, the high school and football stadium are on the left. Parking is available at the high school and also past the football stadium on the left

CLASS A QUARTERFINALS - CURWENSVILLE AT COUDERSPORT

4. Take PA-255 North/PA-120 East (Make a right to stay onto PA-120)

5. Make a right to stay on PA-120/East Allegheny Ave.

6. Turn left onto PA-155

7. Turn right onto PA-607

8. Turn left onto Turner Street which becomes Elliot Street

9. Turn left onto Rugaber Street/PA-872

10. Turn left onto Grum Hill Road for one mile until it becomes Grom Hill Road for another 0.9 miles when it becomes Toles Hollow  for 1.2 miles and then Toles Hollow Road for 0.1 mile

11. Turn Right onto US-6 East

12. At the first traffic light in Coudersport, turn left on Main Street (at the Sheetz).

13. Go straight five blocks and turn right onto 7^th Street

14. Go across the bridge and turn left in to CARP (Coudersport Area Recreational Park)
