HAMBURG – Clearfield head coach Tim Janocko became just the second coach in District 9 history to win 200 career games when the visiting Bisons beat Hamburg 34-28 Friday night.

Christian Lezzer broke a 28-all tie with a 27-yard fourth-quarter touchdown run to give the 27^th-year head coach the milestone victory. Janocko is 200-95-3 in his time at Clearfield with eight District 9 titles. The win Friday night assures the veteran coach of his 16^th straight winning season.

Beau Swales added a pair of rushing touchdowns for the Bisons (6-1), while Curtis Frye threw for a touchdown and ran for a touchdown helping Clearfield overcome a 20-14 halftime deficit.

Swales had a monster game on the ground with 215 yards rushing on 27 carries and scored on a 1-yard run in the first quarter and on a 15-yard scamper in the third quarter.

Frye, meanwhile, was 4 of 8 passing for 61 yards and a touchdown and ran eight times for 23 yards and the score. He threw a 15-yard touchdown pass to Trey Jordan in the second quarter and then gave the Bisons the lead in the third quarter with his 1-yard plunge.

Lezzer added 89 yards rushing on seven carries for Clearfield and also caught two passes for a team-high 37 yards.

NOTES – Janocko is just four wins shy of tying the District 9 record set by former Coudersport head coach Paul Simcoe, who was 204-78-8 as the Falcons head coach from 1979-2008.
