DUBOIS – State College outscored DuBois 14-3 in the
second half to get a 28-17 win over the Beavers in the District 6-9-10
Class AAAA semifinals Friday night at DuBois’ Mansell Stadium. Andy Kelly ran 11 times for 91 yards and three
touchdowns, including the game-clinching 6-yard touchdown run with 1:13 to
play for the fourth-seeded Little Lions (6-4). Jack Haffner added 25 carries for 187 yards, as State
College ran all over top-seeded DuBois (7-3) for 332 yards. Sean Sleigh led DuBois going 19 of 38 passing for 171
yards and a touchdown. State College led 14-0 at the end of the first
quarter before the Beavers rebounded with a pair of second quarter
touchdowns to tie the game. More on this game will be posted when it is received
