UNION 15, KEYSTONE 6

KNOX - Union defeated Keystone 15-6 in a muddy battle that allowed for little offensive gain Friday night at Keystone.

Taylor Smith threw for a pair of touchdown passes for Union (4-3 overall, 2-2 KSAC Small School Division) while going 7 of 13 for 113 yards. He hit Aaron Graham with a 61-yard screen pass and also threw an 8-yard fade pass for Brody Pollock. Pollock added a pair of key interceptions for the Golden Knights.

Union rushed for 115 yards behind the combined effort of Austin Davis, Mikey Harris and Smith while holding Keystone (2-5, 2-2) to 62 yards on the ground and 71 in the air.

Tanner Hannold scored the Panthers lone touchdown on a 31-yard run.

The victory gives Union its second straight four-win season after the Golden Knights won just eight combined games from 2003-2009. One more win and Union will secure its first .500 regular season since going 5-4 in 1997.
