SHIPPENVILLE For the second week in
a row and the third time in four weeks this season, Port Allegany
quarterback Matt Bodamer is the RRR Roadhouse D9Sports.com District 9
Player of the Week.
Bodamer earns the Week Four award after another mind-blowing game in
Port Alleganys 70-8 win at Coudersport Friday night. The senior, who
became just the sixth player in Pennsylvania history to throw for 8,000
career yards during the game, was 28 of 35 passing for 413 yards and seven
touchdowns while adding 25 yards rushing on six carries despite playing
just two series into the second half. It marked the second straight week
Bodamer passed for seven touchdowns making him the only player in District
9 history to have seven or more touchdowns more than once in a career. The
seven scores ties for second all-time in District 9 history.
On the season, Bodamer is completing an astounding 80.9 percent (76
of 94) of his passes for 1,267 yards and 22 touchdowns while throwing just
one interception. He has 8,264 career passing yards, which ranks fourth in
state history and second in District 9 history while adding 107 career
touchdowns, the second most in school history.
