SHIPPENVILLE –Sheffield’s Shaquan
Wright is the RRR Roadhouse D9Sports.com District 9 Player of the Week for
the fifth week of the 2012 season.
Wright had a monster game for the Wolverines in a 31-30 win over
visiting Coudersport Saturday, Sheffield’s first win over the Falcons
since 1973 breaking a 25-game losing streak to the Potter County squad. He
was 11 of 21 passing for 200 yards and two touchdowns while also catching
three passes for 85 yards and two scores. His 55-yard pass on a
wide-receiver option on fourth-and-19 from his own 33-yard line late in
the game set up the game-winning touchdown.
Joining Wright in being honored this week are 15 players the RRR
Roadhouse D9Sports.com Honor Roll.
