SHIPPENVILLE – Brockway’s Chad Melillo is the RRR
Roadhouse D9Sports.com District 9 Player of the Week for the sixth week of
the 2012 season.
In a battle of AML South unbeatens, Melillo helped Brockway knock off
Curwensville 56-34 by rushing 26 times for 164 yards and two touchdowns
and caught two passes for 54 yards and a score. His touchdown midway
through the third quarter helped stem the Golden Tide momentum. Brockway,
thanks in part to Melillo touchdowns, led 35-0 midway through the second
quarter only to see Curwensville score the next 28 points to get within a
touchdown, 35-28, early in the third quarter. But Melillo scored on a
2-yard run to get the Rovers some momentum back.
Joining Melillo in being honored this week are 15 players on the RRR
