ARMSTRONG NAMED WESTERNPAFOOTBALL.NET SMALL SCHOOL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR

Clarion linebacker T.J. Armstrong is the Westernpafootball.net Small School Defensive Player of the Year.

Armstrong, who was also first-team PFN Class A All-State and Pennsylvania Sports Writers first-team All-State at linebacker, was The Rehab Centre D9Sports.com District 9 Defensive Player of the Year for the second straight season.

He led Clarion with 102 tackles in 12 games (8.5 per game) with 22 ½ sacks for a loss including five sacks while also forcing two fumbles. He helped Clarion allow a District 9-low 12.5 points per game. Clarion went 12-1 on the year finishing in second place in District 9 Class A. He has scholarship to Old Dominion.
