EDINBORO – District 9’s lone Class AAAA team, DuBois, will start its playoff run in the combined District 6-9-10 tournament run by District 6 when it travels to Edinboro for a 1 p.m. game Saturday vs. Erie McDowell at Edinboro University’s Sox Harrison Stadium.

The Beavers (5-5) ended a three-game losing slide with a playoff-clinching 24-14 win at Hollidaysburg last week.

Erie McDowell, meanwhile, finished with an impressive 7-2 mark despite playing in the always tough WPIAL. The Trojans lone two losses came to WPIAL Class AAAA stalwarts McKeesport (16-14) and Gateway (35-17) both on the road. Gateway was the No. 1 seed in the WPIAL Class AAAA playoffs, while McKeesport was the fifth seed.
