Crusaders stay perfect with 64-54 win

ST. MARYS — Sophomore Nate DaCanal led three players in double figures with 14 points as Elk County Catholic improved to 4-0 with a 64-54 win over DuBois Central Catholic Saturday.

The Crusaders trailed just once in the game, 9-8, and outscored the Cardinals 23-10 in the opening period.

DCC, which was led by 15 points from Ryan Anderson, cut the lead to three, 29-26 at halftime, but Mitchell Struble connected on a pair of triples to open the third quarter, helping ECC retake control.

Elk County Catholic also outscored DuBois Central in bench points 26-4, led by 12 from Kyle Huff.
