KARNS CITY 63, UNION 51

KARNS CITY, Pa. – Emily Hegedus, Alyssa Gibson, Haley Scherer and Mackenzie Craig all reached double figures, as Karns City knocked off visiting Union, 63-51, in KSAC South action.

Hegedus had 19 points for the Lady Gremlins, who led 37-17 at halftime, while Gibson added 16, Craig 14 and Scherer 10.

Frankee Remmick poured in a career-high 26 points for Union with Lexey Shick adding 16, all in the second half.

PORTVILLE (NY) 48, OTTO-ELDRED 45, OVERTIME

DUKE CENTER, Pa. – Karly Welty scored all eight of Portville (N.Y.)’s overtime points on her way to a game-high 24 tallies, as the Lady Panthers knocked off Otto-Eldred, 48-45, in overtime in the title game of the Randy Stebbins Memorial Tournament at Otto-Eldred.

Camryn Thomas led Otto-Eldred with 19 points and 17 rebounds with Emily Smith adding five points and 11 boards.

KANE 51, JOHNSONBURG 31

ST. MARYS, Pa. – Rachel Morgan and Ella Marconi combined to score 30 points, as Kane topped Johnsonburg, 51-31, in the consolation game of the St. Marys Winter Tip-off Tournament.

Morgan scored 16 points to lead the Lady Wolves with Marconi adding 14. Trinity Clark also reached double digits with 11 tallies.

Nicole Myers’ 13 points paced Johnsonburg.

COUDERSPORT 57, ST. MARYS 39

ST. MARYS, Pa. – Thanks to 20 points, five steals and three assists from Haley Keck, Coudersport cruised to a 57-39 win over St. Marys in the championship game of the St. Marys Winter Tip-off Classic.

Ally Easton added a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds while also coming away with four steals.

Freshman Megan Quesenberry led St. Marys with 10 points.

NORTHERN POTTER 34, WILLIAMSON 30

TIOGA, Pa. – Gracie Hamilton’s double-double of 13 points and 12 rebounds gave visiting Northern Potter a 34-30 come-from-behind win over Williamson.

The Lady Panthers trailed 24-19 going into the fourth quarter but outscored the hosts 15-6 in the quarter behind eight points from Hamilton.

Makayla Butz scored 13 points to lead Williamson.

BOYS’ RECAPS

OSWAYO VALLEY 49, GALETON 32

DUKE CENTER, Pa. – Theo Henry scored 18 points to give Oswayo Valley a 49-32 win over Galeton in the consolation game of the Randy Stebbins Memorial Tournament at Otto-Eldred.

Evan Brooks scored 12 for Galeton.

PORTVILLE (NY) 48, OTTO-ELDRED 43

DUKE CENTER, Pa. – Tournament MVP Nick Stein scored a game-high 17 points to lead Portville (N.Y.) to a 48-43 win over Otto-Eldred in the championship game of the Randy Stebbins Memorial Tournament at Otto-Eldred.

Jordan Sherwood had 13 points for the Terrors.

PORT ALLEGANY 59, COWANESQUE VALLEY 44

PORT ALLEGANY, Pa. – Brandon McCaslin scored 21 points to give Port Allegany a 59-44 win over visiting Cowanesque Valley.

David Talkington added 12 points for the Gators.

Trevor Vargeson had 20 points for CowValley.
