The Oakland A’s have traded All-Star catcher Derek Norris, as well as minor league right-hander and Johnsonburg native Seth Streich to the San Diego Padres, multiple media outlets reported late Thursday.
In the trade, the A’s received right-handers Jesse Hahn and R.J. Alvarez, as well as an international signing slot.
Streich pitched for the Rams from 2006-09, helping them to the PIAA Class A state title game in 2007, where they fell to Minersville, 11-9.
In 2014 for High Class A Stockton of the California League, Streich posted a 9-6 record with a 3.16 ERA, 116 strikeouts and just 22 walks in 114 innings.
