BROCKWAY – With a 24-point effort in a 48-43 win over Brockway Saturday, Redbank Valley junior Brooke Hinderliter went over the 1,000-career-point mark.
Hinderliter, who needed 15 points coming into the game to reach 1,000, finished the game with 1,009 points. She is the seventh player in Redbank Valley girls’ basketball history to score 1,000 points and the first since Lacey Blose in 2008. She joins her current head coach Amy (Hepler) Twigg on the school’s 1,000-point list. Twigg scored 1,105 points in a career that ended in 2004. Hinderliter’s 1,009 points are the sixth most ever at Redbank Valley.
