Moltz scores 1,000th career point for VC
OIL CITY, Pa. – Ava Homan netted a game-high 25 points, and Taylor Moltz added 15 points while scoring her 1,000th career point to lead Venango Catholic to a 69-28 win over North Clarion Monday night in Oil City.
Homan hit eight shots from the field and was 9 of 12 from the line while recording a career high in points, while Moltz, who came into the game needing eight points for 1,000 reached the milestone with a 3-pointer in the first quarter and finished the night with 1,007 career tallies. She is the sixth girls’ basketball player in school history to record 1,000 career points, and it marked the second year in a row a Lady Viking has scored her 1,000th point. Last year, Lindsay Homan reached the plateau.
Allison Guth chipped in 13 points for VC (6-4 overall, 3-0 KSAC North), while Cassie Wagner had eight to lead North Clarion (7-3, 2-1) and Tori Obenrader chipped in with seven.

ULYSSES, Pa. – Latascia Shadle netted a game-high 19 points to lead Galeton to a 31-28 win at Northern Potter Monday night.
Galeton (4-5 overall, 1-3 NTL) led 15-14 at halftime and then outscored Northern Potter 9-6 in the third quarter before being outscored 8-7 in the final eight minutes.
Mandy Slawson led Northern Potter (5-5, 1-3) with eight points.

FOXBURG, Pa. – Sadie Longo recorded a 14-point, 13-rebound double-double, and Erin Logue added 14 points, seven assists, five rebounds and three steals to lead A-C Valley to a 52-31 win over Union in KSAC South action Monday night.
Morgan Cratty added nine points and eight rebounds for the Lady Falcons, who improved to 8-2 overall and 1-2 in conference play.
Lexey Shick led Union with 11 points and Eiley McGregor scored eight points. The Golden Damsels dropped to 3-7 overall and 0-3 in the KSAC South.
