Danica plays volleyball and basketball and participates in track and field for the Lady Panthers and is also a member of the National Honor Society and Student Government.

Her hobbies include 4-H and Cornerstone youth group where she will be a member of their mission trip team to the Philippines.

Danica’s future plans are to attend Gannon University to major in Pre-Pharmacy.

Upon completion, she plans to further her education by attending the University of Charleston to receive her Ph.D.

Danica says she has too many favorite sports memories to pick just one, but she greatly enjoys the bus rides with her teammates.

She states her father, Dan Hurrelbrink, is one of the most inspiring people in her life.

“He does anything he can looking for no credit,” Danica said. “He has pushed me to stretch my limits and expects nothing in return.”

The Student-Athlete of the Month receives gift certificates from both The Pizza Pub and DE Sports, Inc.
