PUNXSUTAWNEY 4, DUBOIS 3

PUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. – Scoring a run in the bottom of the seventh, Punxsutawney walked off visiting DuBois, 4-3.

DuBois had tied the game with a run in the sixth before the Lady Chucks stayed unbeaten with a 17-0 record.

Kylee Lingenfelter, Tessa Winebark, Kim Shoemaker and Maddie Stonbraker each had two hits for Punxsutawney.

Lingenfelter was2-for-4 with a double and a run scored, Winebark was 2-for-3 with a runs scored and an RBI, Shoemaker was 2-for-3 with an RBI and Stonbraker was 20for-4 with an RBI. Morgan Adamson scored twice for the Lady Chucks.

Lingenfelter got the win in relief of Alli Ishman pitching a scoreless seventh despite giving up a hit and two walks.

Ishman went six innings allowing three runs on four hits and a walk while striking out three.

CAMERON COUNTY 12, GALETON 7

GALETON, Pa. – Batting around in the first and third innings, Cameron County scored 11 of its 12 runs in those two innings combined to get a 12-7 road win at Galeton.

The Lady Raiders scored five in the first and six in the third chasing Makaya Shadle from the circle.

The five-run first was highlighted by a three-run Ally Narby home run.

Alyvia McKimm was 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles for the Lady Raiders with winning pitcher Laila Smith going 3-for-4 as well. Amily Schatz chipped in with a pair of hits, including a single.

Shadle was 3-for-3 with a two-run home run, a pair of doubles and four RBIs for Galeton.

Smith allowed 12 runs on eight hits and five walks while striking out 15.

CLARION 17, KANE 1, 4 INNINGS

KANE, Pa.- Clarion picked up its third win in a row and its fourth in its past five games with a 17-1, four-inning road victory at Kane.

The Lady Cats scored 17 times on just eight hits thanks in part to three Kane errors, 17 free passes and a hit batter.

Four of Clarion’s hits were doubles with Cora Zerfoss, Alexis Constantino, Liz Sarver and Kate Constantino each getting two-baggers.

Kate Constantino, who was the winning pitcher, was 2-for-3 with a run scored and three RBIs to back her own cause. Carly Best was also 1-for-2 with a walk, a run scored and two RBIs, while Alexis Constantino was 1-for-1 with three walks, three runs scored and an RBI. Sarver was also 1-for-1 with three walks, a run scored and two RBIs.

Marcie Stanish had a triple and a run scored for Kane.

Kate Constantino gave up the one run, it was unearned, on two hits while striking out nine.

KEYSTONE 13, CLARION-LIMESTONE 2, 5 INNINGS; KEYSTONE 9, CLARION-LIMESTONE 7

STRATTANVILLE, Pa. – Jesse Phillipi had five hits, including four extra-base hits, to help Keystone sweep a doubleheader at Clarion-Limestone.

In a 13-2, five-inning Game One victory, Phillipi had three hits, including a pair of triples, while Makenna Stiller got the win in the circle for the Lady Panthers.

Then in game two, Phillip added two doubles to back up the pitching of Jacey Pritt.

CRANBERRY 9, KARNS CITY 3

SENECA, Pa. – Nicole Hutchinson drove in three runs to help Cranberry to a 9-3 win over visiting Karns City.

Hutchinson was 1-for-2 with a double and two walks, while Libby Kiefer went 2-for5 with a double and two RBIs. Her courtesy runner Elaine Kahle scored twice.

Also for Cranberry, winning pitcher Natalie Barcinas was 2-for-3 with a double, two walks and two runs scored, Rachel McCauley was 2-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI, Malliah Schreck was 2-for-2 with a double, two walks, two runs scored and an RBI, Hannah Duncan was 2-for-3 with a run scored and Andrea Watson was 2-for-4 with a double.

Taylor Ekis was 1-for-2 with a home run, a run scored and two RBIs to pace Karns City, while Kate Allen was 2-for-3 with a run scored and Katie Neff doubled.

Barcinas went seven innings allowing three runs, two earned, on five hits and two walks while striking out eight.

Makenzie Shay took the loss going two innings allowing six runs, two earned, on five hits and four walks while striking out one.

SMETHPORT 12, NORTHERN POTTER 1, 6 INNINGS

ULYSSES, Pa. – Emily Treat homered and doubled while going 2-for-4 with a run scored and three RBIs to lead visiting Smethport to a 12-1, six-inning win over Northern Potter.

The Lady Hubber led 5-0 going to the sixth before posting a seven-spot in the inning.

Abbey Woodard and Alana Durphy added doubles for Smethport with Woodard going 2-for-4 with three runs scored and three RBIs and Durphy 1-for-2 with a walk, a run scored and an RBI.

Haleigh Larson added a 2-for-3 day with an RBI and two runs scored for the Lady Hubbers, while Meagan DeLuca was 1-for-2 with two walks and two runs scored and Baylea Stron 2-for-3 with a walk, a run scored and an RBI.

Tory McCutcheon was 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored for Northern Potter with Mikayla Lewis adding an RBI base hit.

Woodard got the win going six innings allowing one run on four hits and two walks while striking out six.

Kalie Cowburn suffered the loss lasting 5 ⅓ innings giving up 10 runs, six earned, on 12 hits and five walks while striking out four.

PORT ALLEGANY 11, OSWAYO VALLEY 10

SHINGLEHOUSE, Pa. – Cailey Barnett went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run and a double while driving in six runs to lead Port Allegany to an 11-10 win over Oswayo Valley.

Jenna Sprankle added a 2-for-4 day with a triple and two RBIs for the Lady Gators.

Madison Nudd was 3-for-4 with two RBIs, and Shayla Bickel was 3-for-4 for Oswayo Valley.

Mackenzie Burr got the win allowing 10 runs, four earned, on 13 hits and two walks while striking out two.

Nudd took the los giving up 11 runs on 11 hits, three walks and a hit batter while striking out seven.
