Northern Potter 2, Northeast Bradford 0 

Frank Gardner made four saves and Tucker Kosa and Levi Kio each scored goals to lead Northern Potter to a 2-0 win over Northeast Bradford Saturday.

Kosa scored the Panthers first goal with a volley off the serve from Connor Freeman, and then Kio scored in the second half on a header off a ball played into the box by Tanner Hess.

“Both teams played hard, but patience and determination paid off for us and the defense held strong and kept their composure to help hold onto the shut out victory,” Northern Potter head coach Bill Moon said.

In the junior varsity action the Panthers defeated Northeast by a score of 2 – 0. Finding the back for the net in the second half off a penalty kick was Dalton Hand. Northern Potter’s final goal came from Ethan Wheeler unassisted to finish off the match. In the net for Northern Potter Holden Cowburn had three saves to keep Northeast at bay.

Northern Potter plays Coudersport Monday.

Saegertown 3, Bradford 1

Despite another goal by Ben Jordan, Bradford fell 3-1 to Saegertown Saturday.

Iain Scott, Peter Mattocks and Andrew Flynn each scored for the victors, while Zane Miller made three saves.

Jack Kellam had four saves for Bradford.

 

 

Karns City 11, Clarion-Limestone 1

Eight different Karns City players scored including the first career goals from seniors Marty Koegler and Dylan Fahlor, as the Gremlins moved to 14-0 on the season with an 11-1 win over Clarion-Limestone.
