Player Profile: Baylee Blauser, A-C Valley

D9Sports.com/EYT Media is doing a series of player profiles on returning high-school athletes this summer. The year in school listed by the athlete is the year the athlete is entering this fall.

BAYLEE BLAUSER – SOPHOMORE – A-C VALLEY

Daughter of: Jamie and Lori Blauser
Sports Played: She played volleyball, basketball, softball and track & field as a freshman and plans on playing basketball, softball and track & field as a sophomore
Family Members Playing/Played Sports: Her dad played football and ran track and her mom played softball and ran track
2018-19 Highlights: She took eighth at the PIAA Class 2A track and field championships in the long jump with a leap of 17-feet, 1-inch, which tied the school record. This came after she took second at the District 9 championships with a jump of 16-9. She also finished fifth in D9 in the triple jump … In softball, she earned second-team All-KSAC honors as a pitcher and outfielder after pitching the Lady Falcons to the D9 semifinals. She hit .500 with a pair of home runs and 13 RBIs … In basketball, she saw action in 16 games scoring 12 varsity points for the KSAC Champions who finished second in District 9 Class 2A and advanced to the PIAA Class 2A quarterfinals for the first time in school history.
Post-High School Plans: After high school, she plans on attending SRU, to become a veterinarian or go into pediatrics. She’s not sure about sports at this time.

Q&A With Baylee Blauser

D9Sports: What is your favorite sport to participate in and why?
BB: My favorite sport is Track. I love jumping as they are independent events. I can work on these skills at any time of the year and can only get better.

D9Sports: What is your favorite memory, moment, game from playing high school sports?
BB: Track-going to Districts and States. Softball-Hitting two homers in one game. Basketball winning the KSAS title game. Softball, Volleyball, and Basketball: playing with an amazing group of girls.

D9Sports: Why do you play high school sports?
BB: I like to stay active. It gives me something to look forward to after a long day at school and it is fun playing with your friends.

D9Sports: Who has had the most influence on your athletic career and why?
BB: Coaches, Family, and friends are my biggest influences. They always have my back and give me good advice.

D9Sports: If you could change one thing about high school sports, what would it be and why?
BB: Have track meets and softball/baseball games on different days. that way kids can do both sports. I love both sports.

D9Sports: If you could be president for a day, what would be the one major thing you would do?
BB: Travel to as many places as I could in Air Force 1.

D9Sports: What is your ideal place to live? County, City, Suburb? Why?
BB: My ideal place to live is in the country. Very peaceful and no one is around.

D9Sports: What would someone who doesn’t know you be surprised to find out about you?
BB: I love riding horses.

D9Sports: What is your strongest subject in school?
BB: Science

D9Sports: If there was one period in history or one event in history you could go back to, what would it be?
BB: 1980’s, that is when all the good music came out.

D9Sports: What question do you wish I would have asked you? And what is the answer to it?
BB: What advice would i give to another athletes? never give up because all that hard work you put in will pay off.
