Player Profile: Colton Hoffman, Union

COLTON HOFFMAN – SENIOR – UNION

Son of: Lindsey Moore and Mike Hoffman
Sports Played: Football (as part of the Union/A-C Valley co-op) and basketball and plans on running track this year
Family Members Playing/Played Sports: Grandfather Mark Moore played football at Union.
2018-19 Highlights: Caught seven passes for 114 yards and three touchdowns last season while also ranking third on the team with 59 tackles including two sacks. Caused one fumble … In basketball, he appeared in five varsity games last year.
Post-High School Plans: He plans on going to college for mechanical engineering. If possible, he will play college football

Q&A With Colton Hoffman

D9Sports: What is your favorite sport to participate in and why?
CH: Football, I love the pregame hype and the feeling being under the lights playing.

D9Sports: What is your favorite memory, moment, game from playing high school sports?
CH: When we got told last year that we would be going to the District 9 playoffs.

D9Sports: Why do you play high school sports?
CH: I get to spend time with my other family, It keeps me fit, and I love playing sports.

D9Sports: Who has had the most influence on your athletic career and why?
CH: My Grandfather because he’s one of my biggest supporters and I work hard to impress him.

D9Sports: If you could change one thing about high school sports, what would it be and why?
CH: A shot clock in high school basketball. Because it’s annoying watching teams dribble and pass back and forth with 2 minutes left on the clock

D9Sports: If you could be president for a day, what would be the one major thing you would do?
CH: Drug test people on welfare

D9Sports: What is your ideal place to live? County, City, Suburb? Why?
CH: My ideal place to live would be a small town. Because It’s like a suburb but also kind of a country setting.

D9Sports: What would someone who doesn’t know you be surprised to find out about you?
CH: That I enjoy racing.

D9Sports: What is your strongest subject in school?
CH: Strength and Conditioning class because I get big.

D9Sports: If there was one period in history or one event in history you could go back to, what would it be?
CH: If there was one period in history or one event in history you could go back to, what would it be? The 90’s so I could listen to 90’s rap when it was happening.

D9Sports: What question do you wish I would have asked you? And what is the answer to it?
CH: A good question to ask since I’m a senior is what am I going to miss most about high school when I graduate. The answer to that is I’m going to miss having a good time with my friends.
