EMILY HUFF – JUNIOR – KARNS CITY
Daughter of: Jason and Rebecca Huff
Sports Played: Volleyball, Basketball, Softball
Family Members Playing/Played Sports: Her cousins, Tyler, Matt and Alyssa Slagle.
2017-18 Highlights: As the starting catcher, she helped Karns City to a second straight District 5-8-9 Class 3A softball title by .250 with a home run, two doubles, seven RBIs and five runs scored. In basketball, she saw action in 13 games for the District 9 Class 3A runner-up Lady Gremlins.
Post-High School Plans: She plans to attend college and play sports if the opportunity presents itself.
Q&A With Emily Huff
D9Sports: What is your favorite sport to participate in and why?
EH: Softball, because I always have fun while playing it.
D9Sports: What is your favorite memory, moment, game from playing high school sports?
EH: Winning districts in softball and the bus ride after.
D9Sports: Why do you play high school sports?
EH: I like to keep busy and enjoy them.
D9Sports: Who has had the most influence on your athletic career and why?
EH: My dad because he pushes me to work hard every day.
D9Sports: Do you remember the first sport you played and did you like it right away or did it grow on you?
EH: Softball, and I liked it right away.
D9Sports: Do you have a favorite number for a uniform? If so, what is the story behind that number?
EH: My favorite number is 12, and there is no story it just always has been.
D9Sports: What would someone who doesn’t know you be surprised to find out about you?
EH: I like kayaking.
D9Sports: If you could eat dinner with anyone famous (living or dead) who would it be and why?
EH: Steve Carell, the Office is my favorite show.
D9Sports: Iphone or Android or Neither and why?
EH: iphone, I have one.
D9Sports: What is your go-to Social Media and why?
EH: Snapchat, so I can talk to people on it.
D9Sports: What do you like most about high school and why?
EH: Seeing my friends.
D9Sports: What do you like least about high school and why?
EH: Reading, I hate reading.
D9Sports: What question do you wish I would have asked you? And what is the answer to it?
EH: What is your favorite position? Catcher.
