LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – Redbank Valley graduate Brooke Hinderliter of Slippery Rock is the PSAC West Freshman of the Week for the week ending with games Jan. 14.

It’s her fifth PSAC West Freshman of the Week award after another quality week of play in which she averaged 14.7 points, 7.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.7 steals per game while shooting 48.7 percent from the field overall and 83.3 percent from the foul line over three games. 13 of her 23 rebounds came on the offensive glass.
After going for 11 points, four rebounds and three assists against nationally-ranked California (Pa.), Hinderliter recorded her first collegiate double-double with season-highs of 20 points and 10 rebounds against Clarion. In SRU’s win against East Stroudsburg, she just missed out on another double-double with 13 points and nine rebounds.
In her first season at The Rock, Hinderliter is averaging 10.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.1 steals per game over 23.4 minutes per contest while shooting 46.6 percent from the field and 80.2 percent at the free throw line.
