SMETHPORT 68, AUSTIN 27

PORT ALLEGANY, Pa. – Mike Deluca scored a career-high 33 points to lead Smethport to its first win of the season, 68-27 over Austin, in the consolation game of the Port Allegany Christmas Tournament Saturday.

Deluca hit six 3-pointers and 13 shots all together while also going 1-for-1 from the free-throw line for the Hubbers (1-8).

Smethport led 9-5 at the end of the first quarter but outscored Austin (0-8) 24-6 in the second quarter to take a commanding 33-11 halftime lead.

Andy Price chipped in 10 points for the Hubbers, while Anderson Nicka led Austin with 11 tallies.
