OLSH ends Moniteau girls season

CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. – Building a 10-point lead by halftime, WPIAL third seed Our Lady Sacred of Heart went on to send District 9 Class AA runner-up Moniteau home with a 44-30 win Friday night at Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic High School.

Kristina DeMatteis was about all of the offense that the Lady Warriors (16-9) could muster as she scored 21 points to go along with her 11 rebounds. DeMatteis scored 12 of her team’s 14 first-half points as OLSH led 24-14 at halftime.

Alazia Greaves was the next high scorer for Moniteau with four points. Sara Hull had eight rebounds and scored two points.

OLSH got 17 points from Courtney Alexander and 10 points from Anna Lohmann.

The Lady Chargers meet District 10 champion West Middlesex Tuesday at a site and time to be announced. West Middlesex beat WPIAL seventh seed Chartiers Houston, 57-43.
