DUBOIS, Pa. – Brockway swept to the District 9 boys’ team tennis title with a 3-0 win over St. Marys at City Park in DuBois Wednesday.
Getting victories for the Rovers were Tyler Foradori, 6-0, 6-1, over Connor Delessandro at No. 2 singles, Mason Lindenmuth, 6-2, 6-2, over Dawson Lion at No. 3 singles and Anthony Esposito and Josh Salada, 6-4, 6-2, over Zelph Woelfel and Joey Lewis at No. 1 doubles.
The No. singles match wasn’t contested and the No. 2 doubles match didn’t finish.
Brockway moves into the PIAA Class AA tournament where it will meet the WPIAL Champion Sewickley Academy, who picked up its 13th straight WPIAL title with a 5-0 win over Indiana Wednesday. That match will take place Tuesday at a site and time to be determined.
It was the first boys’ team tennis title in Brockway history.
