Genevro was a first-team selection, and along with teammate Jacob Craig earning second-team honors, it marks the first time in program history two Clarion players earned Academic All-American honors in the same year. The Golden Eagles have been represented on the list in five of the last seven seasons.
Genevro (4.00, Business) posted one of the best seasons in program history at the wide receiver position, finishing the year with team highs in catches (65), receiving yardage (1,096) and touchdowns (13), the last of which ranked as the best on the team at all positions. He became just the third player in program history to top 1,000 receiving yards in a season, and this year’s campaign ranks as the second-best in that regard. Genevro’s 13 touchdown receptions are tied for second for a single-season in program history, and he graduates from Clarion ranking near the top of the list in career receiving yards (9th) and receiving touchdowns (tied 3rd).
