NORTH CLARION 43, KANE 33
KANE, Pa. – Tori Obenrader’s seventh double-double this season lifted North Clarion to a 43-33 win over Kane in the championship game of the Kane Christmas Tournament.
Obenrader scored a game-high 20 points while hauling down 10 rebounds for the She-Wolves, who stayed unbeaten at 8-0.
Abby Gatesman added eight points and eight steals for North Clarion, who also got eight points from Cassie Wagner.
Ella Marconi had 14 points and 14 rebounds to pace Kane, which trailed 22-12 at halftime but battled back in the third quarter cutting the deficit to five, 31-26.
Rachael Morgan added four points and seven rebounds for the Lady Wolves with Hanna Buhl and Camryn Cummings each dishing out five assists to go with two points. Trinity Clark chipped in seven tallies.
CLARION 38, EISENHOWER 31
KANE, Pa. – Wendy Beveridge hit a pair of key 3-pointers in the third quarter to help Clarion separate from Eisenhower for a 38-31 win in the consolation game of the Kane Christmas Tournament.
The Lady Cats led by one, 18-17, at halftime before outscoring the Lady Knights 10-5 in the third quarter thanks to the two triples by Beveridge, which accounted for six of her seven points in the game.
Sisters Alexis and Kate Constantino then scored nine of Clarion’s 10 fourth-quarter points to secure the win with Alexis scoring five of her team-best 13 points in the quarter and Kate adding four of her six in the final eight minutes.
Kirsten Baran led all scorers with 16 points for Eisenhower.
NORTHERN POTTER 65, ARCHBISHOP WALSH (NY) 26
COUDERSPORT, Pa. – Gracie Hamilton connected for 21 points to lead Northern Potter to a 65-26 win over Archbishop Walsh (N.Y.) at Coudersport.
Kalie Cowburn chipped in 17 points for the Lady Panthers, who led 43-11 at halftime.
Grace Geer scored 17 points to lead Walsh, who plays at Coudersport Thursday.
MONITEAU 39, MARION CENTER 32
PUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. – Emma Bair scored six of her eight points in the first quarter helping Moniteau to a fast start, and the Lady Warriors held off a second-half charge by Marion Center to get a 39-32 win over the Lady Stingers in the opening round of the Carl Truance Holiday Classic at Punxsutawney.
Behind Bair, who added 11 rebounds, five steals and four blocked shots, Moniteau grabbed a 13-4 lead at the end of the first quarter and still led 21-11 at halftime.
But Marion Center, behind six points from Mia Oterson, closed the gap to 25-23 at the end of the third quarter.
Kristina DeMatteis, however, scored six of her team-high 12 points in the fourth quarter to help Moniteau hold on for the win.
Alazia Greaves also scored 10 points for Moniteau, while Jocilyn Thompson paced Marion Center with 12 points. Oterson added 10.
Moniteau takes on Hazleton in the championship game Thursday with Marion Center facing host Punxsutawney in the consolation contest.
HAZLETON 62, PUNXSUTAWNEY 50
PUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. – Marissa Trivelpiece scored eight of her team-high 17 points in a 20-point first quarter to help Hazleton knock off Punxsutawney, 62-50, in the opening round of the Carl Truance Holiday Classic at Punxsutawney.
Kendra Pfeil added 13 points for the Lady Cougars with seven of those coming in the first quarter that saw Hazleton lead 20-14 after one.
Leah Miller led Punxsutawney, which trailed 34-24 at halftime, with 18 points. Morgan Vanleer added eight tallies.
LAUREL 63, UNION 33
MERCER, Pa. – Despite 16 points, seven rebounds and three steals from Lexey Shick, Union dropped a 63-33 decision to Laurel in the opening round of the Mercer Christmas Tournament.
Taylor Adams added nine points for the Golden Damsels.
DUBOIS 33, DUBOIS CENTRAL CATHOLIC 30
BROOKVILLE, Pa. – Ashley Hallowell scored 11 points and grabbed 24 rebounds to lead DuBois to a 33-30 win over DuBois Central Catholic in the opening round of the Brookville Christmas Tournament.
Hallowell had nine points and 16 rebounds in the first half to help the Lady Beavers grab a 20-12 halftime lead.
Then, after DCC cut the lead to 23-22 after three quarters, Lauren Fatula scored four of her eight points in the fourth quarter to help DuBois pull out the victory.
Riley Assalone scored 13 points to pace DCC.
BROOKVILLE 40, BROCKWAY 32
BROOKVILLE, Pa. – Brookville used a 5-0 run at the start of the fourth quarter to break open a tie game on its way to a 40-32 win over Brockway in the opening round of the Brookville Christmas Tournament.
The teams were tied at 24 going to the fourth quarter, but Brookville took the lead for good with the early run. Brockway cut the lead to one, 33-32, with 1:30 to play before a 7-0 game-ending run by the Lady Raiders secured the victory.
Laken Hergert and Brooke Shattenberg led Brookville with eight points each, while Jillian Taylor added seven, including five in the final 7-0 run.
Leah Lindemuth paced Brockway with 15 points.
KENNEDY CATHOLIC 50, KARNS CITY 27
OIL CITY, Pa. – Sophie Berardi scored 20 points to lead Kennedy Catholic to a 50-27 win over Karns City in the opening round of the Oil City Christmas Tournament.
Gillian Fisne chipped in 10 points for the Lady Eagles, who led 23-12 at halftime.
Emily Hegedus paced Karns City with 13 points.
Kennedy Catholic takes on General McLane in the title game Thursday with Karns City facing Oil City in the consolation contest.
REDBANK VALLEY 41, FOREST AREA 18
NEW BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Macy King, Kera Fink and Lexi Holt all reached double digits, as Redbank Valley topped Forest Area, 41-18, in the opening round of the Redbank Valley Christmas Tournament.
King led all scorers with 14 points, while Fink added 11 and Holt 10.
Glory Wagner paced Forest Area with six tallies.
Redbank Valley meets Warren in Thursday’s championship game with Forest Area taking on C-L in the consolation contest.
WARREN 58, CLARION-LIMESTONE 13
NEW BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Margo Loutzenhiser scored 19 points to help Warren run past Clarion-Limestone, 58-13, in the opening round of the Redbank Valley Christmas Tournament.
Rachel Wilson chipped in 16 points for the Lady Dragons, who led 24-3 after a quarter, while Autumn Hultberg added 11.
Paige Aaron paced C-L with six points on two 3-pointers.
KEYSTONE 45, HARBOR CREEK 29
SENECA, Pa. – Taylor Geer poured in 23 points to lead Keystone to a 45-29 win over Harbor Creek in the opening round of the Don Hall Memorial Christmas Tournament at Cranberry.
Alyssa Beichner chipped in 11 points for the Lady Panthers, who will play Cranberry in Thursday’s title game.
Oldach Ryleigh paced Harbor Creek, who takes on Franklin in the consolation game, with eight points.
CRANBERRY 56, FRANKLIN 36
SENECA, Pa. – Malliah Schreck had 12 points and 12 rebounds to lead Cranberry to a 56-36 win over Franklin in the opening round of the Don Hall Memorial Christmas Tournament at Cranberry.
Schreck was one of three Berries to score 12 points in the game with Erin Merryman and Nicole Hutchinson also adding a dozen tallies each. Bree Swartzfager gave Cranberry four players in double digits netting 10 points.
Karlie Hoffman and Aneica Johnson combined for 30 of the Lady Knights 36 points led by 19 from Hoffman. Johnson chipped in 11.

CLEARFIELD 52, CURWENSVILLE 51
CLEARFIELD, Pa. – Brooke Cline scored eight of her team-high 20 points in the third quarter to help Clearfield build a 10-point lead going to the fourth quarter, and the Lady Bison hung on for dear life to beat rival and visiting Curwensville, 52-51.
Cline’s third-quarter explosion helped put Clearfield up 46-36 after 24 minutes, but Curwensville, behind eight points from Hannah Dixon, roared back in the fourth quarter to make it a game.
Dixon finished with 23 points and hit a pair of 3-pointers during the fourth-quarter comeback.
Alayna Ryan added 13 points for Clearfield, which broke open a 25-24 halftime lead by outscoring the Lady Tide 21-12 in the third quarter.
Christine Limbert chipped in 13 points for Curwensville.
