BOYS’ RECAPS

OTTO-ELDRED 47, PORT ALLEGANY 45

DUKE CENTER, Pa. – Otto-Eldred built a nine-point lead after three quarters and then withstood an 0-for-7 performance from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter to hold off visiting Port Allegany, 47-45, in North Tier League action.

The Terrors led 37-28 going to the final quarter but struggled from the charity stripe all night long going 3 of 22 from the line in the game.

Despite the freebie troubles, Otto got balanced scoring with seven different players reaching the scorebook including six scoring between six and 10 points.

Trey Dalton led the Terrors with 10 points, Dylan Close added nine, Sawyer Drummond eight and Seth Drummond, Jordan Sherwood and Bosco Ramiro-Alonso six each.

Three Port Allegany players reached double digits paced by 14 points from Howard Stuckey. Jordan Bell added 11 and David Talkington had 10. Brandon McCaslin chipped in eight, as those four players combined for all but two of the Gators points on the night.

COUDERSPORT 64, OSWAYO VALLEY 41

SHINGLEHOUSE, Pa. – Jared Green had his second-highest scoring game of the season with 23 points to help Coudersport to a 64-41 road North Tier League victory over Oswayo Valley.

Green’s cousin, Aaron Wolfinger, added 13 points for the unbeaten Falcons, with Derek Keglovits adding 11.

Gavin Babcock led Oswayo Valley with 14 points. Theo Henry chipped in 12.

GALETON 53, AUSTIN 34

AUSTIN, Pa. – Evan Brooks led a trio of Galeton players in double digits with 17 points, as the visiting Tigers knocked off Austin, 53-34, in North Tier League action.

Isaiah Shuemaker chipped in 13 points for the Tigers with Joel Griffen adding 10.

Mason Valenti led Austin with nine tallies.

GIRLS’ RECAPS

NORTHERN POTTER 55, JASPER-TROUPSBURG (N.Y.) 7

ULYSSES, Pa. – Gracie Hamilton had a double-double and Kalie Cowburn netted a game-high 20 points as Northern Potter rolled past visiting Jasper-Troupsburg (N.Y.) 55-7.

Hamilton had a game-high 14 rebounds while scoring 12 points. Tory McCutcheon added 11 points and five assists for the Lady Panthers who also got eight points from Jenna Hyde.

Haily McCaffery scored four points for Jasper-Troupsburg, which didn’t score in either the first or third quarters.

KARNS CITY 50, KNOCH 35

SAXONBURG, Pa. – Mackenzie Craig scored a game-high 20 points to help visiting Karns City to a 50-35 win at Knoch.

Emily Hegedus added 14 tallies for the Lady Gremlins and now sits four points shy of 1,000 in her career, while Alyssa Gibson chipped in with 10 points.

Casey Kretzer and Gabby Fennell each had 10 points for Knoch, who trailed 29-20 at halftime.
