CRANBERRY 6, REDBANK VALLEY 0
OAK RIDGE, Pa. – Nolan Brannon pitched a masterpiece going six innings and allowing just two hits while striking out 15 to lead visiting Cranberry to a 6-0 win over Redbank Valley.
Brannon, who didn’t walk a batter, needed 90 pitches to get through six. Andrew Gunn finished off with a scoreless seventh walking one and striking out three more Bulldogs.
Brannon helped his own cause with an RBI and a run scored, while Cameron Daugherty had a pair of hits as did Tommy Flinspach, who doubled and scored a run. Trevor Gladdin led the Berries going 3-for-4 with an RBI.
Grayson Harman and Jonah Henry had Redbank Valley’s hits.
Harman took the loss giving up three unearned runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out four. All six Cranberry runs were unearned thanks to four Bulldogs errors.
MONITEAU 6, CLARION-LIMESTONE 2

STRATTANVILLE, Pa. – Moniteau scored four unearned runs after there were two outs in the top of the seventh inning to rally for a 6-2 win over Clarion-Limestone.
The Warriors trailed 2-0 entering the sixth but scored twice off Sam Leadbetter to tie the game thanks to a Nick Sosigian RBI double and a Josh Adamson sac fly.
Then in the seventh, Moniteau loaded the bases against reliever Christian Smith with one out thanks in part to an error by third baseman Ben Smith and a walk to the nine hitter, Brice Williams.
Smith then induced a groundout with Chance Nagy out at home, but Jake Jewart drew a bases-loaded walk to break the tie. A wild pitch then made it 4-2 before Adamson added a pair of insurance runs with a triple to left.
Adamson talked about the win.
C-L took the 2-0 lead thanks in large part to catcher Ian Hawthorne.
Hawthorne was 2-for-2 with double and a walk in the game, and his courtesy runner, Cole Grenci, scored both of C-L’s runs, the first on a wild pitch in the third and the second on a Jake Zacherl sac fly.
But the Lions managed just four hits in the game, three off starter Nick Sosigian who went five innings allowing two runs. He walked two, hit one and struck out three. Nagy relieved him in the sixth and threw two scoreless innings allowing one hit and one walk while striking out one.
Leadbetter was just as good going six innings allowing four this and two walks while giving up two runs. He struck out six. Smith was charged with the loss allowing four unearned runs on two hits and two walks.
NORTH CLARION 3, A-C VALLEY 2
FRILLS CORNERS, Pa. -Logan Minich RBI single scored Zander Hargenrader from second in the bottom of the seventh to give North Clarion a 3-2 win over upset-minded A-C Valley.
Hargenrader had a double to start the rally after A-C Valley tied the game with a run in the top of the seventh.
Noah Meyers was 3-for-3 with two RBIs to lead North Clarion.
Devon Walters got the win picking up the final out of the seventh after Meyers had blown the save. It was the second stint on the mound in the game for Walters, who pitched 2 ⅓ earlier in relief of Lee Seales, who went 3 ⅓ giving up one run while walking six and striking out four. Meyers was wild in his ⅔ of an inning walking a batter and hitting another.
Aaron Busch had a pair of hits, a run scored, an RBI and two walks to lead A-C Valley.
Matt Thompson took the loss going 3 ⅔ innings allowing two runs, one earned, on two hits and a walk.
BROCKWAY 13, CURWENSVILLE 11
CURWENSVILLE, Pa. – Jarrett Esposito’s double to left drove home the eventual game-winning runs in the top of the seventh, as Brockway scored four times in the seventh to stun Curwensville, 13-11.
Andrew Trunzo 2-2, two-run, two-out single tied the game at 11 in the seventh before Matthew Clark walked. Both runners then stole bases before Esposito broke the tie when he drove a 0-1 pitch for the double.
The Rovers trailed 10-1 after three but got back into the game with a six-run fourth and a two-run fifth.
Jesse Johnson had a pair of doubles for Brockway going 3-for-5 with a run scored and four RBIs. Angelo Inzana added a triple, two runs scored and an RBI with Trunzo going 1-for-5 with two runs scored and three RBIs. Erik Botwright and Tyler Serafini also scored twice.
Serafini got the win in relief going five innings allowing four unearned runs on six hits and two walks while striking out two.
Avery Francisco was 5-for-5 with a double, a triple, two runs scored and four RBIs for Curwensville. Bryce Timko added two hits, a run scored and three RBIs.
Noah VonGunden took the loss allowing seven runs, five earned, on six hits and four walks while striking out three in 1 ⅓ innings of relief.
CLEARFIELD 7, TYRONE 5
HYDE, Pa. – Jumping out to a 6-0 lead after three innings, Clearfield held off a Tyrone comeback attempt to get a 7-5 win over the visiting Golden Eagles.
Clearfield, which stole seven bases in the game, scored twice on double steals in the first inning and also added a run on the back end of a double-steal attempt in the second where the runner was thrown out at second.
Four Bison had two hits apiece including Zane Morgan, who doubled in a run. Reese Wilson added a pair of hits, an RBI and two runs scored, Thayne Morgan and Will Myers each chipped in two singles.
Eli Glass got the win in relief of Jake Sorbera. He went 2 ⅓ innings allowing three runs on three hits and three walks while striking out three. Tommy Hazel picked up the save going one inning, allowing a hit and a walk. Hazel was helped out by a game-ending double play.
Micah Woomer had a pair of singles and an RBI for Tyrone with Cory Lehman adding a two-run single in the sixth before scoring on a Brett Robison double in the inning.
Brian Gunter took the loss lasting 2 ⅓ innings and giving up six runs on six hits and three walks while striking out two.
SMETHPORT 10, NORTHERN POTTER 7
SMETHPORT, Pa. – Noah Costa and Nate Hollowell each drove in two runs to help Smethport to a 10-7 win over visiting Northern Potter.
Costa was 2-for-4 with a run scored out of the leadoff spot for the Hubbers, who led 9-2 after three innings, while Hollowell went 1-for-3 with two runs scored.
Matt Stratton added two hits and a run scored for Smethport with Robbie Ruffner doubling and scoring twice and Grant Ognen singling and scoring twice.
Ognen got the win going 4 ⅓ innings allowing six runs, three earned, on five hits and four walks while striking out eight.
For Northern Potter, Blake Jeffers had two hits, including a double, while Christian Inzana, Joey Holbrook and Jake Boden each added a pair of singles. Inzana was 2-for-3 with a run scored and two RBIs, Holbrook went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and Boden 2-for-4. Hunter Inzana also singled, scored twice and drove one in, while Tucker Kosa had a double, two RBIs and a run scored.
Tucker Kosa suffered the loss allowing six runs, three earned, on two hits and four walks while striking out seven in 2 ⅓ innings of work.
CLARION 13, UNION 2, 5 INNINGS
SHIPPENVILLE, Pa. – The two through five hitters in Clarion’s lineup accounted for nine RBIs, as the Bobcats won their fourth straight thanks to a 13-2, five-inning victory over visiting Union.
Ryan Anthony had a pair of doubles, three runs scored and three RBIs to lead the way for Clarion, while Sterling Conner hit a home run while going 1-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Also driving in a pair of runs each for the Bobcats were Cam Craig and Reed Anthony with Reed Anthony going 2-for-3 with a run scored. Kyle Patterson also scored twice.
Reice Saylor and Lucas Bowser scored runs for Union with Bowser walking twice.
Craig got the win going four innings allowing no runs, three hits and four walks while striking out three.
Saylor took the loss allowing nine runs, seven earned, on seven hits and two walks while striking out four in 3 ⅔ innings of work.
KEYSTONE 16, FOREST AREA 1, 3 INNINGS; KEYSTONE 13, FOREST AREA 0, 5 INNINGS
KNOX, Pa. – Keystone outscored visiting Forest Area 19-1 to sweep a doubleheader from the visiting Fires.
The Panthers won Game One 16-1 in three innings and Game Two 13-0 in five innings.
In the first game, Conner Exley and Brodi Switzer each had a pair of RBIs with Exley and Sawyer Reed having two-hit game and the Panthers drawing 13 walks.
Exley was 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored, Reed was 2-for-2 with an RBI and Switzer was 1-for-1 with a double and two runs scored. Corey Rapp also doubled, scored a run and drove one in for the Panthers.
Rapp got the win going three innings allowing one unearned run on one hit and three walks while striking out five.
In the nightcap with Forest Area acting as the home team, Austin Ion doubled twice and Rapp had a triple and a double to pace the 13-run explosion.
Ion went 3-for-3 with a walk, three runs scored and two RBI with Rapp going 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored. Devin Dunkle added two hits, including a double, and two RBIs, while Reed had a double, walked twice and drove in a run.
Dunkle, Dawson Steele and Skylar Kagle combined to one-hit Forest Area.
Dunkle got the win going four innings allowing the hit and three walks while striking out seven. Steeler pitched ⅔ of an inning walking three and striking out two while Kagle got the final out on three pitches.
ELK COUNTY CATHOLIC 11, BRADFORD 4
ST. MARYS, Pa. – Behind a three-RBI game from Ryan Heary, Elk County Catholic dispatched visiting Bradford, 11-4.
Heary was 2-for-3 with a run scored, while Frank Singer drove in two while going 2-for-2 with a pair of walks. Joe Kucenski added two hits, including a double, while Brad Dippold had a pair of singles and two runs scored and Dan Stauffer went 2-for-3 with a walk, three runs scored and an RBI.
Caleb Nuzzo had a pair of RBIs for Bradford, while Jack Pecora was 2-for-3 with an RBI.
Dippold got the win going 5 ⅔ innings allowing four runs, three earned, on five hits and three walks while striking out five.
Kyle Kirk took the loss pitching three innings giving up seven runs, six earned, on seven hits and two walks while striking out one.
JOHNSONBURG 10, KANE 2
KANE, Pa. – Justin Kasmierski went 3-for-4 with a walk, three RBIs and a run scored to help visiting Johnsonburg cruise to a 10-2 win at Kane.
Johnny Mitchell also had three hits for the Rams, including a triple, while scoring twice, Neil MacDonald drove home three going 2-for-3 with a double and three runs scored, Austin Green had a pair of singles, two RBIs and a run scored, Josh Raubenstrauch had two hits and a run scored and Daunte Allegretto added a double and a run scored.
Ang Constanzo and Cyrus Novosel had RBIs for Kane with Jake Alcorn and Costanzo, who walked twice, each scoring.
Allegretto got the win going 4 ⅔ innings allowing two runs, one earned, on three hits and four walks while striking out four.
Austin Jordan took the loss giving up six runs on 12 hits while striking out one in four innings.
