Cashmer, a senior centerfielder, led Grove City with a .384 batting average and 33 hits this season. She also stole a team-leading nine bases while also driving in 14 runs in 28 games this year. Over her last eight games, she hit .643 (18 for 28) and had at least one hit in all eight games.
Assalone, a freshman pitcher, was strong in the circle in her debut season, compiling a 9-2 overall record with a 2.66 ERA in 13 appearances (12 starts). The 2.66 earned run average ranked as the fourth best among PAC pitchers. Her finest start came in her final one of the season, as the Dubois Central Catholic graduate tossed seven strong innings to help SVC beat Bethany 3-1 in a PAC Tournament elimination game. Assalone allowed just one run on six hits while striking out two Bison batters. For that effort, Assalone was named to the All-PAC Tournament Team.
