Airtime for the matchup between teams that both made the PIAA playoffs last year will be approximately 6:50 p.m. (keep an eye on ExploreClarion.com for possible updates to that start time depending on how long the junior varsity match takes). Chris Rossetti and Mike Kalinowski will be on the call from Clarion High School.

Fans can listen to the game live on exploreClarion.com. Go straight to the website and the player will work on any mobile device (you may need to hit the play button in order to get the stream to play) or click here to listen.

Clarion enters the contest at 5-1 overall and 5-0 in the KSAC, while A-C Valley is 6-0 overall and 4-0 in the KSAC.

The Lady Cats are paced by sophomore setter Brenna Campbell, the daughter of head coach Shari Campbell, as well as freshman Korrin Burns, seniors Dorothy Kalinowski, Hailey Sintobin and Ali Troese and juniors Kait Constantino, Madi Schill and KK Girvin.

A-C Valley looks to seniors Oliva Boocks, Kylee Eaton and Kaylie Merwin as well as junior Emily Wetzel, sophomore Tarra Stefnacci and freshman Meah Ielase to pace the team.

A year ago, the Lady Falcons took the KSAC title from Clarion with a 3-2 (25-20, 25-21, 20-25, 19-25, 15-11) victory in Foxburg. In 2016, Clarion beat A-C Valley, 3-1 (25-18, 25-27, 25-16, 25-22), in the KSAC match at Clarion but lost to the Lady Falcons, 3-1, (10-25, 26-24, 25-16, 25-23) in the District 9 Class 1A semifinals in St. Marys. That playoff victory was sweet revenge for A-C Valley, which blew a 2-0 lead in the D9 1A title game in 2015 to Clarion falling 3-2, (19-25, 18-25, 25-16, 25-13, 16-14). That Clarion win followed a Lady Cats 3-0 (25-22, 25-22, 25-21) loss to the Lady Falcons in the regular season, Clarion’s first regular-season KSAC loss since 2009.
