ABOUT THE GAME
Both teams enter the contest at 6-2 with both teams’ losses coming to Smethport and Elk County Catholic.
The squads are throwbacks in the fact that they like to run the football.
Curwensville does so behind the trip of Blake Passarelli, Cole Bressler and Avery Francisco, while C-L looks to Austin Newcomb and Ayden Wiles to carry the load.
The Golden Tide are coming off a short week having beaten Otto-Eldred Saturday night in Duke Center, while C-L topped Port Allegany Friday at home.
This is the next-to-the-last regular-season came for both squads with both finishing up against Class 2A schools next week.
C-L travels to Clarion in the third annual – and perhaps last – Black & Blue Brawl, while Curwensville hosts Brockway.
