Clearfield Captures District 9 Boys’ and Girls’ Swim Titles

HYDE, Pa. – Clearfield secured both the District 9 boys’ and girls’ swim titles this weekend.

The boys’ team won the event with 399.5 points outdistancing DuBois, which finished with 251.5 points. The Lady Bison took the women’s event with 368 points with St. Marys finishing second with 281.

Individual champions on the girls’ side included: Karli Bietz of Clearfield (200-yard freestyle; 500-yard freestyle), Emma Webster of Bradford (200-yard IM), Makeeli Redden of Clearfield (50-yard freestyle; 100-yard freestyle), Baily Treetel of Moniteau (100-yard butterfly; 1-yard backstroke), Carissa Vavala of St. Marys (1-meter diving), Camryn Bauer of St. Marys (100-yard breaststroke)

Individual champions on the boys’ side included:  Luke Mikesell of Clearfield (200-yard freestyle; 500-yard freestyle), Leif Hoffman of Clearfield (200-yard IM), Levin Kuhar of St. Marys (50-yard freestyle), Nathan McAnany of St. Marys (100-yard butterfly), Cody Shaw of Clearfield (1-meter diving), Elliott Torp of Clearfield and Tucket Fenstermacher of DuBois (tie in 100-yard freestyle), Isaac Swanson (100-yard backstroke), Jacob Koss of St. Marys (100-yard breaststroke)

Relay champions on the girls’ side included: St. Marys (200-yard medley), Clearfield (200-yard freestyle), Clearfield (400-yard freestyle)
