JAYDEN BLAZOSKY – SENIOR – KEYSTONE
Son of: Traci and Ryan Blazosky
Sports Played: Football, Baseball, Basketball
Family Members Playing/Played Sports: His brother Gavin will be a sophomore this year and plays football and basketball. His dad played basketball at Brookville and his Mom cheered at Keystone.
2018-19 Highlights: Was Keystone’s offensive MVP in football and a first-team All-KSAC performer at slot receiver after catching 24 passes for 353 yards and three touchdowns and also rushing for 153 yards and three touchdowns. Made 22 tackles on defense with a team-best three interceptions … Was the team MVP in baseball after hitting .356 with three doubles and five RBIs. He also stole six bases … Saw action in 10 games and scored six points for the Keystone basketball team which won the KSAC South and finished second in the KSAC while also taking third place in District 9 Class 2A and qualifying for the PIAA playoffs.
Post-High School Plans: He’s planning on going to college but he’s not sure whether or not he’s going to try to play sports when he gets there.
Q&A With Jayden Blazosky
D9Sports: What is your favorite sport to participate in and why?
JB: My favorite sports are football and baseball. I’d prefer to watch baseball over football any day though.
D9Sports: What is your favorite memory, moment, game from playing high school sports?
JB: My favorite memory from high school sports is probably either our football game against Union/ACV my sophomore year because it snapped a 12 game losing streak, or beating Clarion in a baseball game that came down to the wire last season.
D9Sports: Why do you play high school sports?
JB: I play sports because I like competing and making memories with my friends.
D9Sports: Who has had the most influence on your athletic career and why?
JB: My Mom, Dad, and Uncle Jamie have had the most influence on my athletic career. They’ve driven me all over the place for different tournaments and camps, and/or paid for everything I’ve needed to be as good as I can at the sports I play.
D9Sports: If you could change one thing about high school sports, what would it be and why?
JB: I don’t think I would change anything.
D9Sports: If you could be president for a day, what would be the one major thing you would do?
JB: If I was president for a day I’d probably give an executive order to build Keystone an indoor athletic facility and get all new uniforms and the best equipment for all of our sports.
D9Sports: What is your ideal place to live? County, City, Suburb? Why?
JB: I’d like to live in a city someday because I think that there’s more things to do and a lot of other opportunities that I won’t have in Knox.
D9Sports: What would someone who doesn’t know you be surprised to find out about you?
JB: Someone who doesn’t know me might think it’s kinda cool that I’ve been to half of the MLB ballparks across the country with my mom.
D9Sports: What is your strongest subject in school?
JB: My strongest subject in school was definitely not chemistry.
D9Sports: If there was one period in history or one event in history you could go back to, what would it be?
JB: If I could go back to a period in history it’d be the end of my sophomore year when we were picking classes to take as juniors. I would have chosen tech science instead of chemistry because I was really bad at chem.
D9Sports: What question do you wish I would have asked you? And what is the answer to it?
JB: Nothing
