FOREST AREA 47, CRANBERRY 44
MARIENVILLE, Pa. – Behind a season-high 22 points from Mikaela Bean, Forest Area downed visiting Cranberry 47-44 in a KSAC North battle Monday night at East Forest high school.
Bean shot 8 of 21 from the field, hit five 3-pointers and added seven rebounds, five steals and four assists for the Fires (6-8 overall, 2-3 KSAC North), who became the first Forest Area School District girls’ team to beat Cranberry since West Forest downed the Berries Feb. 13, 2009, 55-43, in a KSAC Semifinal contest at Clarion High School. It marked the first loss by Cranberry in Marienville since Jan. 18, 2007, when East Forest beat the Berries 45-44.
Morgan Silvis added 11 points on 5 of 10 shooting for Forest Area, which led 23-18 at halftime and 35-30 at the end of three quarters.
Kendra Schreck led Cranberry (3-12, 2-4) with a career-high 15 points.

BROCKWAY 55, RIDGWAY 37
RIDGWAY, Pa. – Juli Esposito and Leah Lindemuth combined to score 33 points to lead Brockway to a 55-37 win at Ridgway Monday.
Esposito bucketed a game-high 20 points including going 10 of 12 from the free-throw line, while Lindemuth added 13 points.
Esposito added seven assists and five steals, while Lindemuth had eight rebounds and five steals. Ashley Moore had a game-high 17 rebounds and also scored seven points.
Emily Fullem led Ridgway with 13 tallies.
The Rovers led by just a point, 13-12, at the end of the first quarter but built the lead to eight (28-20) at halftime. The lead was still at eight, 36-28, at the end of three quarters before a 10-point fourth-quarter advantage allowed Brockway (8-8 overall, 4-4 AML South) to pull away for its fourth win in five tries.
Ridgway fell to 4-13 overall and 1-7 in league play.

JOHNSONBURG, Pa. – Camyrn Cummings scored 12 points and Alaina Barner added 11 to lead visiting Kne beat Johnsonburg 49-29 Monday night.
Kane built a 28-13 halftime lead and then withstood a third-quarter 10-7 surge by the Ramettes.
Taylor Morgan added 10 rebounds for the Lady Wolves (9-8 overall, 4-3 AML North), while Trinity Clark had 11 rebounds and eight points and Rachel Morgan eight rebounds in her first varsity start.
Nicole Myers had 17 points to lead Johnsonburg (5-12, 4-4).

Macy Neureiter added 15 points for the Lady Crusaders (17-0 overall, 10-0 AML North), who finished AML play unbeaten for the second straight year while running their conference win streak to 29 games.
Sheffield fell to 1-17, 0-7 in conference play.
