DuBOIS — The top-seeded Elk County Catholic Crusaders jumped out to a 19-point halftime lead and cruised to a 77-41 win over Union in the District 9 Class A quarterfinals Friday night at DuBois Area High School.
Nate DaCanal scored 21 points and Ryan Seelye finished with 19 points as the Crusaders improved to 24-1 and earned a state playoff berth by reaching the semifinals. They’ll meet fourth seed Clarion-Limestone next week at a site and time to be determined.
Cole Morris led Union (13-11) with 13 points.
