PUNXSUTAWNEY 8, BROOKVILLE 3

BROOKVILLE, Pa. – Logan Johnston went 1-for-3 with a double and three RBIs to lift visiting Punxsutawney to an 8-3 win over Brookville.

Lucas Burkett and Brandon Matthews both scored twice for the Chucks, while Tyler Richardson was 2-for-4 with a run scored.

Tyler Park was 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored for Brookville.

Isaac Stouffer, who added a hit and an RBI, got the win going 4 ⅔ innings giving up three runs, one earned, on six hits and a walk while striking out four.

Dane Lyle took the loss going four innings and allowing four runs on five hits and four walks while striking out one.

ELK COUNTY CATHOLIC 8, DUBOIS CENTRAL CATHOLIC 6

DUBOIS, Pa. – Elk County Catholic used a six-run sixth inning to knock off DuBois Central Catholic, 8-6.

Dan Stauffer’s two-run home run started the rally in the top of the sixth. It was Stauffer’s lone hit of the game.

Jordan Nasoni was 2-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored to lead ECC with Eric Gerber also scoring twice.

Justin Miknis was 1-for-2 with a double, two runs scored and two RBIs for DCC, which scored five of its runs in the second inning.

Austen Cogley was also 2-for-4 with a run scored the Cardinals.

Alec Wehler got the win in relief going five scoreless innings allowing three hits and two walks. Stauffer picked up the save pitching a scoreless seventh walking one and striking out one.

Thomas Grecco suffered the loss allowing seven runs, six earned, on six hits and three walks while striking out five in five-plus innings of work.

CAMERON COUNTY 13, NORTHERN POTTER 3, 5 INNINGS

EMPORIUM, Pa. – Derek Rieder was 3-for-3 with a run scored and three RBIs to help Cameron County to a 13-3, five-inning win over visiting Northern Potter.

Also for the Red Raiders, Alex Umble went 2-for-3 with a run scored and two RBIs with Tristan Reed picking up a pair of RBIs as well.

Joe Holbrook had a single and an RBI to pace Northern Potter.

Marcus Brown got the win going five innings allowing three runs, one earned, on five hits and three walks while striking out seven.

Devin Burdick suffered the loss going two innings allowing seven runs, six earned, on five hits and three walks while striking out two.

CRANBERRY 11, KEYSTONE 1, 5 INNINGS

SENECA, Pa. – Cameron Daugherty was 3-for-3 with a double, two RBIs and two runs scored to help Cranberry to an 11-1, five-inning win over visiting Keystone.

Nolan Brannon added a pair of hits, including a double, while also drawing a walk, scoring a run and driving one in for the Berrie with Trevor Gladding going 1-for-3 with two RBIs and a run scored.

Gladdin got the win in relief of Tommy Flinspach. He pitched 1 ⅓ hitless, scoreless innings walking one and striking out three. Flinspach went 3 ⅔ innings allowing one run on one hit and six walks while striking out seven.

Brooks LaVan had the lone hit and RBI for Keystone. Austin Ion scored the Panthers runs.

Sawyer Reed took the loss going two innings and allowing seven runs, six earned, on three hits and five walks.
