DUBOIS CENTRAL CATHOLIC 8, BROCKWAY 7, 8 INNINGS

DUBOIS, Pa. – Michael Misiewicz’s one-out single with the bases loaded in the bottom of the eighth inning scored Jackson Frank to give DuBois Central Catholic an 8-7 win over Brockway at Shower’s Field in DuBois.

Frank got the eighth-inning rally started with a leadoff double, and Brandon Walker followed with an infield single that put runners on the corners. A walk to Thomas Grecco followed before a strikeout brought up Misiewicz.

Brockway had forced extra innings with a three-run sixth that included back-to-back-to-back bases-loaded walks to Tyler Serafini, Jarrett Esposito and Jesse Johnson, the second, third and fourth consecutive walks off the inning, all with two outs.

Frank was 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles, two runs scored and an RBI for DCC, while Walker was also 2-for-4 with a walk, a double, a run scored and an RBI. Justin Miknis had a double and scored twice, and Tyler McIntosh doubled and drove home two.

Anthony Kness got the win in relief throwing 2 ⅓ scoreless innings allowing one hit and two walks while striking out three. Dom Torretti started and went five innings allowing four runs on six hits and three walks while striking out three.

Johnson was 2-for-3 with a walk and four RBIs for Brockway. Matthew Clark also went 2-for-4 with an RBI for the Rovers with Serafini and Hunter Antonuccio each scoring twice.

Cameron Baka took the loss throwing 4 ⅓ innings of relief allowing one run on three hits and two walks while striking out three.

BROOKVILLE 11, KANE 1, 5 INNINGS

KANE, Pa. – Sending 14 batters to the plate in the top of the first inning, visiting Brookville plated nine runs and cruised to an 11-1 win over Kane in five innings.

The Raiders had eight hits in a row after two outs in their first at-bat. Tanner LaBenne had two of them, including a double. He finished 3-for-3.

Six different players had multi-hit games in the Raiders’ 15-hit attack. Aaron and Tyler Park, Trenton Gilhousen, Bryan Dworek and Dane Lyle each had two hits. Lyle, Dworek, Gilhousen and Park each drove in two runs while Dworek, both Parks and Seth Dunkle doubled.

Dworek went the distance on the mound to get the win, allowing two hits while striking out five and walking one.

OTTO-ELDRED 9, CAMERON COUNTY 1

DUKE CENTER, Pa. – Seth Drummond was 2-for-3 with a home run, two runs scored and two RBIs, as Otto-Eldred dispatched visiting Cameron County, 9-1.

The Terrors took advantage of seven Red Raiders errors to plate six unearned runs. Damien Palmer was the only other Terror with an RBI while also scoring two runs.

Tristan Reed was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI for Cameron County.

Sawyer Drummond, who was 1-for-2 with a run scored, was the winning pitcher going six innings allowing one run on three hits and two walks while striking out 11.

Adam Shaffer took the loss allowing six runs, three earned, in 4 ⅓ innings of work. He gave up five hits and two walks while striking out seven.

NORTH CLARION 5, CLARION-LIMESTONE 4

STRATTANVILLE, Pa. – Korey Mills scored on a wild pitch in the top of the seventh inning, as visiting North Clarion edged Clarion-Limestone, 5-4.

Mills, who had a pair of RBIs in the game, started the seventh-inning rally with a one-out walk, and Logan Minich walked before both runners moved up forcing an intentional walk of Noah Myers before the wild pitch pushed across the go-ahead run.

Zander Hargenrader threw the final three innings of scoreless, hitless relief for the Wolves and got the win while doubling at the plate. Hargenrader walked two and struck out three.

Colby Himes tripled and Sam Leadbetter doubled for the Lions.

Zane Summerville suffered the loss in relief going three innings allowing no hits but one run thanks to four walks. He struck out four. Leadbetter started and went four innings allowing four runs, one earned, on five hits and three walks while striking out seven.

BELLEFONTE 10, CLEARFIELD 0, 6 INNINGS

BELLEFONTE, Pa. – Logan Mathieu went 3-for-4 with a double, a home run, two runs scored and two RBIs to lead Bellefonte to a 10-0, six-inning win over visiting Clearfield.

Tyler Kreger was also 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored for the Raiders.

Adam Armstrong and Ashton Wetzler combined on a two-hit shutout for Bellefonte with Armstrong going 3 ⅔ innings allowing two hits and two walks while striking out four. Wetzler threw 2 ⅓ hitless innings walking two and striking out three.

Zane Morgan and Seth Bumbarger had the Clearfield hits with Morgan doubling.

Jakob Sobera took the loss going four innings and allowing four runs on eight hits and three walks while striking out two.

CRANBERRY 14, FOREST AREA 0, 5 INNINGS

MARIENVILLE, Pa. – Nolan Brannon went 2-for-3 with a double and three runs scored to lead Cranberry to a 14-0, five-inning win over Forest Area at East Forest.

Andrew Gunn and Brannon combined on a one-hit shutout for the Berries. Gunn went three innings giving up a hit, hitting a batter and walking a batter, while Brannon went two innings while hitting a batter, walking two and striking out five.

Noah Burke had the lone Fires hit.

JOHNSONBURG 8, CURWENSVILLE 5

CURWENSVILLE, Pa. – Neil MacDonald and Ben Ames each had two hits, including a double apiece, and two RBIs to lead visiting Johnsonburg to an 8-5 win at Curwensville.

MacDonald was 2-for-2 with two walks and a run scored with Ames going 2-for-3 with a run scored. Tyler Singer and Zack Zameroski each scored twice for the Rams.

Going five innings and allowing three runs on five hits and three walks while striking out seven, MacDonald got the win.

Johnny Mitchell came in with two outs in the seventh, two runs in for Curwensville and the bases loaded and got Noah VonGunden to hit into a game-ending fielder’s choice to earn the save.

Zach McClure was 3-for-4 with a double, two RBIs and a run scored to pace Curwensville with Aery Francisco going 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored.

VonGunden, the second of four Curwensville pitchers, took the loss giving up four runs, two earned, on one hit and three walks while striking out three in one inning-plus of work.

PUNXSUTAWNEY 3, DUBOIS 2

PUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. – Lucas Burkett took one for the team being hit by a pitch from Buddy Lines with the bases loaded and no outs in the bottom of the seventh to give Punxsutawney a 3-2 win over DuBois.

Noah Schneider took the loss for DuBois, as he walked Calen Smith to start the inning before Lines took over. He gave up two runs, one earned, on one hit and three walks in 1 ⅓ innings of relief.

Isaac Stouffer got the win throwing a scoreless seventh for the Chucks.

Brandon Matthews started and went four for Punxsy allowing one run on three hits while striking out three.

Ethan Long started for DuBois and pitched well allowing one run on one hit and four walks while striking out two in 4 ⅔ innings of work.

Joey DiPietro also had an RBI for Punxsutawney, while Drew Bankovich was 2-for-3 for DuBois and Braden Paulinellie was 1-for-2 with a double and two walks. Ryan Pasternak had a solo home run for the Beavers with Nick LaBrasca also driving in a run.

REDBANK VALLEY 16, KEYSTONE 1, 4 INNINGS

OAK RIDGE, Pa. – A 10-run bottom of the fourth led to the 15-Run Rule for Redbank Valley in its 16-1 rout of visiting Keystone.

The Bulldogs had nine hits and worked four Keystone pitchers for 11 walks. Blaney Brooks, Cameron Travis and Logan Wadding each had two hits. Brooks homered and scored three runs, Travis scored twice and drove in two runs and Wadding drove in three runs.

Grayson Harman went all four innings for the Bulldogs, allowing two hits while striking out two and walking none. Keystone’s lone run was unearned.

Sawyer Reed and Corey Rapp had the hits for the Panthers.

OSWAYO VALLEY 15, NORTHERN POTTER 0, 3 INNINGS

SHINGLEHOUSE, Pa. – Oswayo Valley scored seven in the first and eight in the second on its way to 15-0, three-inning win over visiting Northern Potter.

Camden Graves led the way for the Green Wave going 2-for-2 with three RBIs. Ryan Graves also had a pair of RBIs, while Garret Babcock had a triple and an RBI and Noah Wichert and Colton Geitler each had RBIs.

Ryan Graves got the win allowing one hit in three innings of work. He struck out five.

Hunter Inzana had the lone hit for Northern Potter.

WILLIAMSPORT 7, ST. MARYS 3

ST. MARYS, Pa. – Jalen Jackson and Joe Fagano combined for five hits to lead visiting Williamsport to a 7-3 win over St. Marys.

Jackson was 3-for-3 with two doubles, a walk, an RBI and a run scored, while Fagano was 2-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI.

Tim Beimel and Aaron Piccolo had RBIs for the Dutch, while Jesse McKee and Jared Groll both doubled.

Tanner Esposito got the win, while Beimel suffered the loss.
