BASEBALL

OTTO-ELDRED 18, GALETON 1, 4 INNINGS

GALETON, Pa. – Heath Stewart, Derrick Coffman and Chase Sebastian each hit home runs as visiting Otto-Eldred rolled past Galeton, 18-1, Thursday, in four innings.

Stewart smacked a grandslam while adding a single, while Coffman and Sebastian, only a freshman, also hit solo homers. Sebastian also had a single.

Sawyer Drummond, Alex Stone and Sebastian combined on a three-hitter on the mound.

Drummond went 2 1/3 innings without allowing a hit. He walked one and struck out five. Stone went a scoreless inning giving up a hit while striking out a batter. Sebastian gave up one run on two hits and two walks in 2/3 of an inning of work.

CAMERON COUNTY 10, SMETHPORT 0, 5 INNINGS

EMPORIUM, Pa. – Tristan Reed drove home three runs to lead Cameron County to a 10-0, five-inning win over visiting Smethport Thursday.

Reed was 1-for-4.

Trea Smith was 2-for-3 with three runs scored and an RBI, while Bryce Bauer was 2-for-3 with a double, a run scored and an RBI.

Adam Shaffer got the win giving up three hits and no walks while striking 10.

Nate Hollowell, Orion Alexis and Kevin Long had hits for Smethport.

Zack Suchocki took the loss.  

KARNS CITY 14, A-C VALLEY 6

BUTLER, Pa. – Nolan Riley and Jake Weckerly combined for four hits and six RBIs to lead Karns City to a 14-6 win over A-C Valley at Kelly Automotive Park in Butler Thursday.

Riley had a single and a triple and drove home four, while Weckerly had a pair of singles and two RBIs.

The Gremlins were helped by 17 A-C Valley walks or hit batters.

Marcus Lantz got the win going five innings and striking eight.

A-C Valley got a pair of hits from John Anders, Tommy Amsler and Lane Chalmers with Chalmers hitting a double.

Amsler took the loss going 2 ⅔ innings and walking 11 while striking out three.

SOFTBALL

CAMERON COUNTY 6, PORT ALLEGANY 4, 6 INNINGS

EMPORIUM, Pa. – Taylor Johnson and Maddie Guisto each had two hits to lead Cameron County to a 6-4 win over visiting Smethport Thursday.

Johnson was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs, while Guisto went 2-for-3 with a pair of infield singles.

Abbey Woodard hit a solo home run in the first inning for Smethport and was 2-for-3 while also adding a sixth-inning double and scoring two runs.

Laila Smith got the win for the Red Raiders allowing four runs on three hits, two walks and a hit batter while striking out nine.

Brook Kane-Walker took the loss giving up six runs on seven hits, two walks and a hit batter while striking out nine.
