HERSHEY, Pa. — District 9’s Class 2A and 3A Dual Meet wrestling champions open at the PIAA Championships today at the Giant Center.
Brookville, the defending Class 2A state champion, meets District 3 third-place Northern Lebanon in first-round action at 4 p.m. while D9 3A champion DuBois takes on District 10 champion Cathedral Prep at 6 p.m.
According to the latest papowerwrestling.com Class 2A state rankings, the Raiders are the No. 2 team in the state while Northern Lebanon weighed in at No. 12. The winner advances to Friday’s quarterfinals against the Southern Columbia-Harbor Creek winner while the loser drops into the consolation bracket to take on the same match’s loser Friday at 8 a.m.
In Class 3A, the unranked Beavers take on Cathedral Prep which is ranked No. 7 in the state. The winner advances to Friday’s quarterfinals against the Council Rock South vs. Canon McMillan winner at 2 p.m. The loser meets the loser of the same match in the consolation bracket Friday at 10 a.m.
