Kalinowski is a senior at Clarion where she participates in volleyball and softball. She is also the youth council president, choir president, RYLA Award Recipient, and she participates in musicals and Clarion Singers. Her hobbies include singing, art, sports and musicals. Outside of school, she is a JDRF/American Diabetes Association volunteer, Polish Falcon Scholarship Recipient, and a Sawmill theater actor.

“My future plans are to find a school I love, major in nutrition and someday become a Certified Diabetes Educator and help other’s like myself,” Kalinowski said.

According to Kalinowski, her favorite sports memory is winning the D9 Class 1A volleyball championship her senior year and all the memories that go along with it.

“The most inspiring people in my life are my family, specifically my mother,” Kalinowski said. “She has shown me that you can be broken down to absolutely nothing and completely turn everything around with perseverance and, most importantly, love. I am forever grateful for my mother and all she sacrifices for our family.”

Kalinowski would like others to know that no matter what obstacles come your way, fighters always win.

“Never let those battles change you, because God doesn’t give us what we can’t handle,” Kalinowski said. “He helps us with what we are given.”

As a Clarion Rehab Service/CHAMP Student-Athlete of the Month, Kalinowski received gift certificates from both Pizza Pub and DE Sports, Inc.
