DUBOIS, Pa. – Grace Johnson scored twice to lead Clearfield to its fifth straight District 9 Class AA girls’ soccer title with a 5-0 win over St. Marys Wednesday night at DuBois High School.
Johnson netted the game’s first tally late in the 10th minute to put the Lady Bison up 1-0, and 3 1/2 minutes later Raquel Grice also scored to give Clearfield a 2-0 halftime lead.
Five minutes into the second half Johnson scored again off a pass from Alayna Ryan, Ryan’s second assist of the game, to take a 3-0 lead and Brooke Cline and Ally Lindstrom followed with tallies to set the final score.
Madison Jones made a pair of saves to get the shutout win.
