Cochranton 12, Cranberry 2 (5 innings)
A six-run second inning gave the Cochranton Cardinals the necessary runs to push past Cranberry, 12-2. After both teams scored a pair of runs in the first inning, Cochranton put eight consecutive players on base to score six in the second. Taytum Jackson’s three-RBI double was the key moment in the big inning. Cochranton added two runs in the third and fifth inning to take a 10 run lead to end the game early.
The Cardinals were led by Jackson, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI. Lexie Moore drove in three for Cochranton, and Jaylin Mcgill and Megan Heim each had a pair of RBI. Jackson also took the win on the mound, throwing five innings of two-run ball. Cranberry was led by Reyna Watson, who went 2-for-3. Alaina Hogue also drove in a run with a double for the Berries.
